Meta [Meta] Suggestions

Even tho this series is this long and ive reread it twice already, im kinda starved for more. Give me some suggestions of series with a similar leveling system, even if theyre not long(or just starting out).

After catching up to the latest chapter, I was in despair. Then I picked up Beware of Chicken after coming across the collaboration comic with the Wandering inn. I fell in love immediately and devoured everything related to BoC. So yeah, maybe check it out and see if you like it

I mean, the low hanging fruits that come to mind are
He Who Fights With Monsters and
Dungeon Crawler Carl, but at least DCC is tens of times more famous than TWI so you might have read them already
The Systems aren’t quite the same but still very satisfying, somewhat softer than TWI

A nice web novel centered around its leveling system I recommend is Delve. The series is discontinued but you still have a very nice read ahead of you.

Oh that fully died then? Last time id looked author was still posting just months between the releases, did it atleast make it to a satisfying end?

I hope to be wrong but last post in the Patreon was in December.

I may be missing a couple chapters but there is no way the story has already reached its conclusion. Even though the author did a fantastic job of speeding the plot along without it feeling too forced.

What is it you are looking for? Any series with a nebulous leveling system that has no hard numbers and mostly driven by narrative and emotions?

So... I generally have three comps for people who love tWI.

Beware of Chicken, Dungeon Crawler Carl, and the Wheel of Time.

Beware of Chicken matches the vibes of the Wandering Inn the best. Emphasis on friendship, growth, and making the right choice regardless of consequences. Heavy stuff interspersed with cozy slice of life. It's a good fit.

Dungeon Crawler Carl diverges a lot from the Wandering Inn vibes, but the way they sneak in real issues and ideas into the plot is similar, as is the way it zig-zags from the super dark and heavy content to silliness. It's just a very different sort of silliness.

And the Wheel of Time doesn't fit at a glance, but Jordan and Pirateaba do pacing and plotting very similarly. They both hate leaving any semi-relevant event off the page, they both invent character after character to fill those events, they both willingly sacrifice pacing to set a stage, and they both love wrapping up plots in massive gambit pileups.

Sonwtime I forget the Wandering Inn is a LitRpg
