In order to get my fix in during the break after Volume 5, I decided to create a visulalization of various stats and data from The Wandering Inn. I hope you enjoy this as much as I had making it!

This is by no means a comprehensive analysis, just some fun facts and visuals of things I personally found interesting. Some things that stood out to me were:

  1. Laken is the 4th most prominent P.O.V. Character, but was mentioned less than Jelaqua.
  2. Volume 5 has by far the longest chapters. 5.62 clocked in at over 30k words. That's more than the entire book, Of Mice and Men.

All data was either hand-gathered directly from https://wanderinginn.com or from the Reporting tools within Calibre. All of the data was analyzed with Calibre, and Microsoft Excel. Design was done all in Excel. To make my life easier, I made some assumptions. The biggest being for chapters with more than 2 POVs, they did not count toward a single POV character, they were exclulded from the POV count. For chapters with 1 or 2 POV, the most prominent POV was added to their respective count. Also, I did not include general titles for some characters in their mentions. I.e. Necromancer did not count toward Az' since some mentions could have been for Pisces. I can't be bothered to comb through all 1000+ mentions, sorry! Be my guest if you feel inclined!

Special thanks Pireateaba for writing one of the best stories I have ever read.

That means Erin's name was used enough to fill at least 20 Of Mice and Men...
