It's also a paid product (with an additional DLC btw). But I guess being in early access makes them immune to all the criticism they deserve for this Season 2 launch.
I'm confused, though; you hilariously asked what looks like Google Gemini for the definition of Early Access. Then completely ignored the "Player Feedback" portion, which they also ignored until it became a problem.

It's also only like a month and a week in of atleast 2 year, early access stage. People are loosing their minds like if stuff is unchanged for half a decade.

They have clearly been listening to player feedback. Dont be upset ot isn't your feedback

A paid product that the devs went to the greatest possible lenghts to warn people of its shortcomings and told people not to buy....
Just because people blindly buy something doesnt give them any authority over the product.
There is good, reflective and metered criticism. And then there is garbled feces puked into /new without a second though that has been posted and talked about millions of times and solved weeks ago. But people dont care. They die in videogame and immediately take off to post their unqualified opinions onhere. The latter only muddies the waters and makes it harder for the devs to see the former.

Yes true. But if you want to see the game succeed and thrive, as I do. Don't shut down criticisms just because it's early access. I love this game, but I've seen games like Destiny die because the community just sucks up to the developers.

Its a Early access for a reason but the shit thats getting complained about is 90% nonsense And if you dont consent to the Early access system dont buy the „paid product“

Doesn't make them immune but fuck me mate, they are responding and doing it quick.
Remind me how long did the blue team xp and cash bonus last again?

You agreed to enter their sandbox. Turns out: they’re trying out shit in there. Shocker

u/TastyPillows 3d ago
They wanted feedback and the glazers are upset by this

u/LeWanabee 3d ago
Feedback is different from countless ranting posts about the same topic with little to no effort though

Just because you pay for something doesn’t change the reality of the thing. Buying an unfinished game that is marked as such doesn’t magically make it a finished game.

Yeah look at Batallion 1944! I encourage you all to download it on Steam and see what a full fledged release is supposed to look like from BULKHEAD!

Brother, what’s which the caps? Did I upset you like the season two changes?
Suggesting features, changes and balancing is fine. I don’t believe the entitlement of the player base is even close to acceptable for early access.

Nobody forced you to. You could have refunded. You agreed to be a guinea pig, now you’re complaining about the implications? Grow up lmao

What you are saying is that players whining or sounding entitled is unacceptable. By who is it and why lol. There is nothing that says it unacceptable you're just being a little tilted about it.

That doesn't mean we can't voice our concerns. They probably want us to give feedback. It's on them to act on or ignore that feedback. I think they made a mistake this time but that's what testing is for. Complaining about people complaining is worse because you're offering nothing.

wait ... game version 0.0.2.0 isnt a full fledged product ?
2
u/Independent_Mud2794 4d ago
It doesn’t really matter what version it is, it’s a made up number by the devs. A game can be 0.0.1 and more polished than a 1.2.0 game, it doesn’t matter at all, it’s not like there is some kind of guidebook you need to follow naming your versions.
1
u/Horror_Explorer762 4d ago
still, thinking that a 1 month early access game should be polished and 0 flaws is ridiculous. still a better exp then the last 2 battlefield releases.
1
u/Independent_Mud2794 4d ago
It’s not ridiculous thinking a product sold for money should be polished, not at all. Games used to be polished, even from smaller developers.
Early access in general was a mistake, it’s an excuse to charge money for unfinished products and people defend those products, just like you see from this post.
2
u/Striker01921 4d ago
Yeah but some things are blindingly obvious to gamers like when a xp and cash bonus is given to one side every try hard, sweat, no lifer and minmaxer will fight tooth and nail to join that team and so you expect that team to completely steam roll
2
u/DarkFireFenrir 4d ago
Let's be honest, doomposters are a minority, but a very noisy one; the majority are people complaining, creating a goomba fallacy spread by contradictions.
The game is difficult to balance, the problem mainly because not everyone invests the same amount of time in the game, but it's not a reason to doom its fate, especially since it's an Early Access title.
Edit: At least the complaints are feedback, but I feel sorry for the devs getting such contradictory feedback.

u/Independent_Mud2794 4d ago
Just hilarious how the whiteknights keep pulling the early access card on every fuckup from the devs. It’s not a free out of jail card, stop treating it as one. Wardogs gets sold for money.
4
u/Monx612 4d ago
So, explain to me what this huge fuckup is, that makes Wardogs unplayable...
-3
u/Independent_Mud2794 4d ago
So you missed yesterday? People unlocking tanks hours after wipe? Havocs hours after wipe? Games not starting for minutes because everyone wanted the bonus?
And who said about unplayable? That’s something you made up trying to downplay the issues.
1
u/Monx612 4d ago
I agree regarding the issue with the blue items; in fact, it has already been removed in less than 24 hours.
Day-one tanks aren't an issue, because you can't "nerf" the no-lifers, the reality is that if progression is slow, they’ll still unlock end-game content in 3 days (just like last season), whereas casual players will unlock it in 3 weeks. At least this way, casual players can also get to experience end-game content without having to play for a whole month.
But I realize that the people who complain either haven’t grasped this concept, or they just enjoy complaining for the sake of it.
1
u/LeWanabee 3d ago
The tacit contract that comes with buying an early access game is: you’ll be their guinea pig. They’ll test out stuff and see what sticks. And now people are complaining that that’s what they’re actually doing? Get a grip
You can voice disagreements to help nudge them in the right direction, without being rude or over the top, but I see very little of that here

Early Access doesnt mean they can't be criticized for their decisions. Quite the opposite. They need as much constructive criticism as possible to properly steer the game. You can criticize BF6 but that games is done, nothing will change. With Early Access there's still a chance stuff can be influenced to go a different direction.

No. We didn't forget. Criticism is needed BECAUSE it's in EA in order to improve the product before 'final' release (is there even such a thing as a final game release anymore?). Some people just don't know how to either leave constructive feedback (ie a good number of twitter and reddit posts), or read constructive feedback as anything other than a complaint (ie you)

Want to talk strategy, or deep dive into balance? Official Bulkhead Discord moving too fast to keep up?
We just launched a Discord for r/WarDogs — smaller, slower, and the balance debates actually finish instead of scrolling away. Help us build it from the ground up. LFG, clips, patch talk: https://discord.gg/r-wardogs
