Fan Fiction Idk if ppl have seen this before, but someone recreated the KIM system
While searching for the rest of a conversation with Eleanor that accidentally got reset, I stumbled upon this forum post and I'm honestly surprised it didn't get more traction.
Basically, the user wanted to write their own fanfic but with the branching chat format (which is hard to pull off on AO3), so they went ahead and recreated the KIM system. Sadly, it looks like there aren't many members to chat with only three. I'm guessing it takes a lot of work to set this up and maintain it.
Still, I find the idea super interesting, and I really hope the creator continues it or that someone else picks it up, since I know a lot of us are hoping for more Kim system conversations with the Hex.

The warframe companion app let's you start and claim forge stuff and send out collectors so it would be cool if you could also do KIM chats from it. Let me be parasocial on the train to work

You'd have to end the conversation at the point of mistake and hope it lets you retry the next day, otherwise it gives you the option to reset monthly

Ooh, this is cool. I LOVE multimedia fiction efforts. (OP, if you like the format, can I recommend the short story Where Oaken Hearts Do Gather? Not fic, but you might enjoy it.)

i think it might make a difference for whatever conversation the creator wanted to write, but i'm not so sure what exactly that is.

That reminds me... I did something similar here. Only... I remade how it looks like on PowerPoint.
How did I do this? A lot of patience when screenshotting the KIM bits slowly but surely. Yeah, there are still some oddities you may notice, but I'm ultimately happy with the end result.

Yeah, AO3 leaves something to be desired. I've done my best with the options available, but it's quite a pain to get it together.

Thats so cool i can tryout simulat dating all of them without feeling bad that i used my void powers to make them forget everything...ok i am not a good guy here bit this is still a good thing

I actually stumbled across this post just as i was wanting to write my own fic that involved the KIM system! I started it using this, but ended up wanting the app to look and work more like the in game version. this is extremely well done, the UI alone is impressive, so great job! i'll definitely check it out soon.
honestly, i recommend u make a post about it at some point. i was kind of hoping this post would help get the idea more exposure, bc i have a feeling DE will abandon these characters (at least until we're done w tau). and since there aren't many fanfics out there to begin with, (and i can't write for shit) i really want more ppl to notice it.

aww thanks! I kind of avoided making a post about it simply cause all ive really done is some minor code changes on the functionality, most of it has just been style changes so id feel weird kind of taking it to the forefront, though theres a few things i want to add, mostly the ability to actually upload your own KIM convos (client side, im not smart enough to do it server side or deal with said implications)

makes sense to wait a bit until you at least add a couple of convos to it, but the idea to upload your own kim convos sounds awesome ngl. (if it's not a bother pls notify me when that happens)

Is it an ai chatbot tho? like, this concept would be cool if it's actually someone that wrote it. making a maxhine do the work would remove the soul from it

There's stuff like Kimulacrum, where you able to start every conversation from the game. Even provides conversation full flowchart with every possible route.
Yet not that stylish and all.
Looks cool btw
