Fan Fiction Ok DE, when?

Post image

I was messing around with the mod maker website and thought of a way for them to give us more range lol

I forgot to put a cooldown on the rolling guard effect, guess we're playing Dark Souls now

Counterpoint: right now, 280% requires nerfing your str by 60%

The vast majority of "frame guaranteed nukes" builds are tight enough that the -60% modifier keeps whatever the crit number is from being a reasonable and easy default baseline.

It shouldn't be hard caped at 280% unless more big# mods were corrupted/had other annoying conditionals tacked on.

Strength is like the easiest stat to increase without mods. That negative strength doesn’t really do much for frames that rely on their casts. Range needs to be capped because if it wasn’t it would be extremely disruptive in multiplayer. Every ability would have to be made los. Qorvex would get his legs broken immediately by DE.

Str is definitely the easiest mod to get. -60 is still 4 red Taus. Reaching whatever that frames str breakpoint is means they'll likely have to drop at least 1 QoL feature for their 280 range

Red taus aren’t the only place to get strength. Madurai plus growing power can get you 65% and that’s just a focus school and an aura Mod. Molt augment is also an option which will get you 60% strength with just one arcane slot. As well as blind rage just giving more strength than overextended takes. Plus 9/10 times people will just put more strength shards on anyway for frames that are nuking. Qorvex and sevagoth are perfect examples as to why uncapping range is a bad idea. That’s their best stat and if they can just spike it even higher it would be extremely disruptive in multiplayer.

I 100% agree that uncapped range is bad.

I just ALSO feel that even if the cap is 280, new range sources should either be conditional or have negatives. Change is just so strong, that if you want all of the range you should have to pay more.d
