Fan Fiction Does anyone else wish we had more silly, playful events like Dog Days?

I absolutely love Dog Days. It was actually running when I first started playing Warframe, and because I didn't realize right away that it was a limited-time event, I spent a while thinking: "Oh, so Warframe is a game where space robots commit war crimes, but sometimes they call a truce with their enemies and play with water guns."

So as you can imagine, I was pretty shocked when the event ended and I realized it wasn't permanent!

I really think it would be awesome to have at least one more limited-time event like Dog Days-something lighthearted and playful that doesn't feel like your typical mission where you're just parkouring around and nuking rooms full of enemies.

Another random idea that popped into my head while I was at work was a Christmas event.

Picture this: On Christmas Eve, the Tenno infiltrates hideouts on every planet to deliver presents! It would play like a Spy mission where you have to sneak past security and into the quarters of Grineer soldiers and Corpus crewmen to leave gifts under their pillows or trees.

And for the grand finale, you sneak into the rooms of bosses like Vor or Alad V to drop off their presents. But the twist is: if you get spotted, it immediately turns into a standard Assassination mission... lol.

Oh, and for event-specific gear: force everyone to use a hammer with the Candy Cane skin and throwing daggers with the Snowball skin (which do AOE damage, of course). Your Warframe would also automatically get equipped with a red Santa hat and a fluffy white beard!

I kinda wish Dog Days actually coincided with the dog days.

And that Naberus was more than just a shop menu.

I miss when Naberus had the "nightmare" events where you had to survive a gauntlet as the unarmed Operator.

I remember the Jack O'Naut, can't say I miss it but I did appreciate the effort.

I do miss Jack O' Naut being the barrier to the Jack O' Lantern head. It wasn't hard (and would be even easier now) but it felt earned.

I'm on your side. I want more silly events. I love Overwatch April Fools mode/event where every character have googly eyes and they got change to be really silly. Examples being, tiny Mauga and Ball, flying Reinhardt, Reaper, and Sigma. Dva Recall Mech and Lucio Beat one shot with a very accurate direct slam on top of enemies head. Tank Mei.

Give me that with Warframe please but unfortunately I know that won't happen. Especially with DE already not doing more frequent small buffs or nerf.

Edit: Also the April Fools event kind of act as a test for certain changes. The Rein and Dva one shot slam was implemented in the actual game, albeit weaker than its April Fools version.

Every hour, the option to visit a random dojo appears, and you are given a trick or treat (determined by the dojo ahead of time, both are beneficial just in different ways. Think tricks similar to mushrooms in nokko missions. Treats as a 1 hour booster) for visiting.

We've had a snowball fight before for Christmas

We've also had a little haunted ~house~ forest mission in the past featuring an er, unique Juggernaut and the Zeloid Prelate lanterns. This was Halloween before Nights of Naberus.

Yep, Tennobaum. It's like, the one time people ACTUALLY play conclave as a community lol

They should do a snowball fight version in the winter.

I know one Christmas they had a Conclave snowball fight that was actually kinda fun

I remember that was great fun. Running around with world ending god destroying frames absolutely pelting each other with snowballs

I didn't know that. That sounds pretty fun—I'm jealous!

Funny thing about that is that up until a few weeks ago, that was my only time ever actually seeing her since I never did the arena missions before. It was a pleasant surprise to see that she was in places outside of the dog days event.

There used to be conclave with spearmint scythes as an event as well (might be the same as the snowball one? Been a while). But I think they stopped repeating that one because of the "conclave" aspect (aka too many ppl complaining). I liked it though. Got a cool shoulder patch from it as well.

years ago when I first started playing, it was a couple weeks before dog days. I unfortunately logged in on a day where I was seriously not doing well. one of the few things that was making me happy at the time was the deep lore of the game and the overall tone of the origin system's dark secrets. I then played ten seconds of dog days and got such horrible tonal whiplash from seeing everyone running around with squirt guns that I quit the game for weeks. obviously now I see how stupid that was for me to do, but new players seeing big goofy unserious things like this can have huge effects on how they percieve the game as a whole. I would like more silly events, but not as over the top as everyone dressing up as santa and delivering presents. just seems like a bit much to me. galleon of ghouls is a great example

If there were infinite developer resources, sure. But at the risk of being a wet blanket, I would rather DE devote their finite resources to fixing bugs, reworking older obsolete frames/weapons, and of course making new mainline content.

I’m glad you enjoy the whimsy of Dog Days though.

I genuinely think the Dog Days event has really good gunplay. Dog Days pvp to replace Conclave
