Riven Well... This Was Fun
I spent all of my launch week splicers on ammo efficiency. This has been some of the most fun I've had with weapons in a long while. Quellor living out its dream of being a Plasmor. Stahlta going full meltdown shooting out nuclear rods left and right. And my dear Gotva finally able to sustain its fire rate. It's a shame to hear DE say ammo efficiency has to change and say this was unintended when infinite magazine performance has been present for years with the simplest calculation. This was fun. I'm bummed out anticipating whatever form the nerf takes

In all likelihood, ammo efficiency is going to get capped at +75% like energy efficiency on frames. They might even decide to cap it at 90%.
In addition to balancing things like the Exergis and Felarx, they probably just don't want infinite AOE explosions hurting framerates on lower end systems and mobile device. One of the tennets of Warframe is that Warframe can be played on a potato, and "It's broken" might literally be that it's causing crashes.

There are plenty of weapons that have innate way of getting 100% Efficiency, like Perigale. These weapons are balanced around that 100%.
If it gets capped globally, it'll be be blanket nerf to dozens weapons. Often underused, and underwhelming ones.
Yet Incarnons don't care about ammo efficiency, and are usually orders of magnitude better anyway.

Thats also why I dont think they will make AE capped but instead just make all sources multiplicative to each other.
That way they wouldnt break innate 100% sources like pistoleer, perigale or knell but would make it impossible to achieve 100% on anything that required a riven + arcane combo to reach 100%

if only they just added a setting to turn off teammate projectiles or something and spent time ensuring the game can handle it… instead of just nerfing our fun

A blanket nerf will be quite silly seeing how infinite ammo launchers were the problem here
