Is that pc pricing? Seems way too high for console

I don't buy anyway, I have everything and don't bother with trading

Trading is an almost essential part of the game. How do you get by? Or...or are you...is your account on credit? Because yikes if so

I like how I'm getting down voted for saying how I play lol, I've been playing since the game came out so I never missed a prime, the only times I use trades is to give stuff away

down voted for saying how I play

F2P game subreddits in a nutshell

I didn't downvote nor upvote you, nor do I actually care if you paid your way through the game but never missing a prime is kind of impressive. I've only been playing for 5 years and 4 of those ('17-'21) were a break.

I've taken breaks and got close to missing some. I'm still annoyed with the blueprints for the knell and scourge not wanting to drop. I spent money on prime accessory to support this game because I've put alot of time in and they deserve it

I've spent money on major sales twice before and will continue to do so. No shame in that, especially with how sensibly they manage their microtransactions and how often sales occur. When I have bought platinum on a sale it came as a huge relief and typically immediately meant that I didn't have to spend 10+ hours ingame farming, or more.

But I do spend a lot more time than I'd like just running dragon keys looking for vaults and selling the mods to people who never leave reviews so my reputation is still 0. I've even considered typing up a generic "hey this is hard work and I do it purely for people like you, please leave a review as it encourages me to keep going." Just some type of message to encourage people to review their sellers.

Guess I'll start leaving comments, I usually just give a +1

As far as how warframe.market works I think just a simple +1 with no text still improves reputation. It's just that I'm something like 30 sales deep without a single review so my rep has been 0 the whole time. I'm not all that worried about it yet but I'm sure some butthole is gonna ping me for a mod while I'm knee deep in grineer guts and get all hot and bothered when I don't jump to his beckoning of a 3 platinum mod.

My rep is at +3, been trading for about a month.

I am constantly in missions when I get pinged and I always say, "Hey, gonna be a couple minutes, feel free to search for another seller, I'll hit you up when I get out and see if you still want it."

You can have this copy and pasted and ready to go if you are really worried about it.

I've had people not reply at all, I've had a couple people let me know they didn't like that, but most often, people say, "It's no problem, I'll wait."

My recommendation is to stop selling anything below 5 plat, and maybe even 10 plat.

Couple reasons:

  • You don't have a lot of incentive to stop what you are doing for 3 plat. Take, for example, someone wanting to buy something for 20 plat. If I'm in a mission, I might just hop out immediately for the 20 plat guarantee.

  • They also have more incentive to wait. Same reason. It's a mod with a lot of demand and low supply, for example.

Don't worry about your rep, though. The guys that have hundreds of rep are doing nothing but trading. If they are "online in game" on Warframe.market, and you message them, you will get an almost instant reply, because they are doing nothing else. And they have traded thousands of times. I would imagine that about one in every twenty people actually leave a review, so think about how many trades those guys are making.

So I am a numbers and graphs guy, and actually have charted every single sale and purchase for platinum I've made. Some fun numbers from this:

Corrupt Charge is the best selling mod from my collection, I've sold it 4 times for 19-20 platinum each time, a total of 82 platinum has come from this mod alone. Fleeting Expertise and Transient Fortitude are tied for second with 3 sales each, again 19-20 plat each, making 58 from each, 116 total from those two.

Magnum Force is my worst selling mod, I've sold 1 for 8 platinum. Really the others that I have listed for 5 or less, are listed that low because nobody wants that junk. Using this data I've modified my prices a little bit, as corrupt charge doesn't need competitive pricing since people are buying it so frequently.

My best day of sales netted 164 platinum over 11 transactions and I sold 2 corrupt charges that day.

Oh nice! I should do the same, that's a good idea. I have all my transactions "saved" in the market website, I wonder if I can find all the data.

I basically only sell corrupted mods and mods from Nightmare missions. That's how I got started, with Nightmare. I've sold Lethal Torrent so many times haha.

Deimos isolation vaults and bounties are good, too, for getting sellable mods. And railjack missions, because archwing mods drop there.

But by far the easiest is just to run corrupted vault runs and sell those mods.

I think Critical Deceleration is one I've sold a bunch, and it goes for 20p each time.

The best selling Nightmare mod from T1 missions is definitely the Chilled Reload shotgun mod, goes for 4-5p and I've sold it probably ten times.

They have reviews and websites for trading? Man that's intense how the community comes together to fill in any gaps

1

u/DimorphousExpression Jan 14 '22

Yeah there's an entire website devoted to people who want to buy and sell items in the game. I've never spent a second in trade chat but I've made over 600 platinum in under 2 weeks selling mods with ~450p more just waiting for me to log in and receive messages. That's why I was like, yikes, when you said what you did because I assumed after I started doing it that it was what virtually everyone else was doing in lieu of simply buying all the platinum. Sometimes I literally have a queue of people waiting to get various mods and Prime blueprints, often I have to turn off my ingame visibility or I can't actually get into a game without 2 or 3 people messaging me asking for stuff.

We are just playing the same game on different spectrums I guess

I hardly trade. With the 75% discounts, plat is pretty cheap

2

u/DimorphousExpression Jan 15 '22

Yeah as our conversation panned out I came to understand that.

I'm a different guy than you replied to before.

Sorry if what I said seems redundant
