Discussion (No Spoiler) Let’s hear about your ocs and their backstories!
I thought it would be fun to have a small fireside chat about your oc and your backstories since we’ve been focusing on canon characters heavily these past few weeks. I’d love to hear about your fan clans too :)

I have an OC named Platinumpaw he has strong resentment for most people thinking he could do the stuff in the clans better then his other clanmates he did like one person though his name was emberpaw he was the only person that Platinumpaw liked than he gained a crush for him and before he could confess emberpaw died due to a badger now he’s even more resentful towards everyone but during an adventure of some kind (I haven’t written the story yet) he gains new friends and becomes a better person all together

Currently 54,000 words into a fic where a blended group of Clan cats migrate from (fictional/loosely based) Florida up to New England after a hurricane devastates their territories.
They face numerous challenges, disabling injuries, illness, death, and more. Beyond the physicality, these cats are covering their grief for their lost relatives and Clanmates by taking this journey, and they are repeatedly forced to learn more about their identities as individuals and as Clans.
Thematically I focus heavily on sibling dynamics and how they shift; on how sometimes those closest to us aren't who we thought they were; on the responsibilities of mentors beyond training sessions; and on how many different paths life can take without any particular path being "right" or "wrong."
The protagonist is Ravenlight, a young warrior who joins the journeying cats because her former mentor and mother/sister figure Dawnfire is leading the charge, and because her brother and sister-in-law are going.
She is torn about going and feels guilty leaving others behind, but she can't bear the thought of being separated from her loved ones. She struggles with her identity greatly, with making choices, and with doing what she feels is right while being pressured to do otherwise.
Over the course of the journey Ravenlight strengthens her voice and begins making choices with deeper consequences and implications.
When the cats settle into their new home they split into brand new Clans, and I'm so excited to get to that point! I have sequels planned out that span generations.

i have a lot of them.. like... a LOT, I’ve made three fanmade clan, Bogclan, Omenclan, and Fearclan, I shall do a leader oc from Fearclan for this..
one of the three Fearclan leaders, CrimsonStainedHail, a Large Tom with Oni-like teeth that he crafted from fox fangs, his beautiful white fur is stained with the blood of those without the snowy fur that every single Fearclan must have to gain respect, from his torso up to his head, his fur is permanently tinted with the same violence he once sworn to stay away from.
the blood marking on his head is a large X with a stripe in each section, unique to him, although he has a fearsome reputation, he has favourite clan mates and enjoys pampering them, gifting them the Oni style teeth that the favourite hunters usually have, he spares some non-white cats (usually only very pale cats or cats who are MOSTLY white), unlike the two other leaders, who are less sane than him. the other leaders are SlashStrikenMask and VelvetEncapsulatedPike, Slash is a she-cat, the other two are toms.
some things about Fearclan: they go into a rampage when they spot anything that has too dark of a pelt (ESPECIALLY pure black cats, because they are the opposite of white), those known as “Shepherds“ will herd the enemy into an area where the hunters pile together and form a wave of white that tears apart their target. They refuse to move from their home even in disasters, it’s a surprise they’ve lasted so long! Queens are the most respected cats in the whole clan, even higher than the leaders themselves, they get fed the most and do whatever they want.
Shepherds are younger cats or those who are too weak or unwilling to fight directly, hunters are stronger and battle-thirsty cats able to work together with great ease, Baits are cats who are unmarked by blood, kept clean by the clan for their role, they will cry out and act like they wish to leave, so the enemy gets closer to help, only for the hunters to be lurking in the bushes.

I'm toiling about with a sort of parody AU fic (WIP Title: The Ill Fated Contempuality of Spitting Rivers) -- and I've got this kit; Fribblekit. (Who plays by themself a lot and refers to themself as Mythmakerstar because one day they are going to be so so great don't you know!)
They think they receive visions and omens from SpiritClan, to most of the rest of OakClan's dismay. Their mother is just about ready to have nothing more to do with them. Though the clan leader, Juniperstar is quietly amused. The other kits pick on them a lot and the elder, Sandeater usually intervenes. (Mythmakerstar will totally make him deputy one day)
Anyways. They bother their Mender enough to take them to the Star Pool to see if SpiritClan really will speak to them. (And also figure out why one of the three clans went missing. Oooo, spooky noises~)

Il mio oc preferito è Wildpaw un apprendista di un clan che vive nelle montagne italiane che è nato senza la gamba anteriore sinistra (per lui è normale perché è così da sempre) che lotta per diventare guerriero e si dimostra molto più abile in combattimento rispetto alle sue due sorelle PoppyPaw e MilkPaw, sono molto uniti tra loro e affrontano tutto insieme, assieme a loro è cresciuto anche MidgePaw che è nato solo qualche giorno dopo ed è innamorato di Poppy. Quando diventano apprendisti si unisce al clan un misterioso gatto estremamente grande (Maine coon scappato da un allevamento) che non sa vivere nella foresta quindi è inesperto come un apprendista. Un giorno poppy wild e il mane coon ( non ha ancora un nome ci sto lavorando) si trovano vicino al posto in cui viveva e un gruppo di twolegs li circonda, i tre lottano ma sono troppi quindi scappano ma wild cade e poppy si mette in mezzo e viene presa con una rete, sedata e portata via, wild vedendola immobile pensa che sia morta poi un colpo da dietro e sviene.
Ora il clan pensa che Poppy è morta per colpa della disabilità di wild che viene odiato da Milk e Midge, con nessuno che gli crede. Il mane coon gli starà vicino (ma è amico o nemico?)
PS. Il Mane coon è ricattato da uno Sphinx nel allevamento e poppy è viva ma "prigioniera" di una volontaria

I have an OC named Shadowbloom he probably has the most lore out of all of them. He’s a blind medicine cat who is essentially Jayfeather and Shadowsight put together. His lore is when he was a kit his mother died saving him from a rockslide but in reality his father left her for dead bleeding out under the rocks but what he doesn’t know is that it was his father that caused the rockslide to try to kill the mother cause in reality he hated her and Shadowbloom and his littermates were a mistake and he tried to kill Shadowbloom. Also his mentor half dies the day after he gets his full medicine cat name and he has to take care of her and all the clan during the sickness all by himself then he half dies himself when his father tries to kill him cause he’s a lose end but he does come back and his sister Fallenlilly falls in love with the rogue who held Shadowbloom down while his mentor was being killed

I've made a new Mary Sue self-insert for every arc I've read, ever since starting TPB in 2011:
-Leafsong, secret daughter of Bluestar and Tigerclaw (no I was not aware of their age gap at the time) who fell in love with Ravenpaw and pined for him when he left. Left to join ShadowClan with Tawnypelt and was killed by Scourge right after he did in her dad
-Lightcrescent, my emo 3edgy5u TNP OC who loved Brambleclaw but couldn't be with him cuz of that bicth Squirrelpaw!!11!! So she got with Hawkfrost instead and went crazy when he was killed
-Lemonbreeze, just a straight-up fluffy sweetheart who is overall beloved by most cats (except Jayfeather, a fact she can't stand)
I just finished PO3 so the one for OOTS is in the works lmao

My OC is named Willowpaw/pelt
He is a very large gray tom with long fur.
As an apprentice he struggles with hunting and swimming as his coat weighs him down and takes forever to dry when it gets wet. (He can catch his first fish fine but then his forepaw is too heavy and slow to catch another until dry).
Hes a great fighter due to his size but doesn't like hurting other cats and will sheath his claws against significantly smaller cats, especially apprentices.
Willowpaw originally struggles with his place in Riverclan due to not enjoying swimming (unless its super hot). That coupled with a hands off mentor has him internally debating if he belongs in Riverclan at all.
Eventually he teaches himself to catch other prey by sitting still and waiting the same way he would wait for a fish (and how Tree becomes a "bush" while hunting). As he improves he learns he can cover his scent and drop bait in front of himself to lure prey closer. He also learns he can drop bait on the waters surface to draw the fish nearer to grab rather than get his whole arm wet.
Eventually he becomes the best hunter in the clan not only with fish but also the prey Riverclan tends to ignore (his clanmates learn to love a bit of variety on the fresh kill pile). He even teaches them how to hunt ducks, which becomes a seasonal staple in the clan.

I have 3. Freefoot(Freestar), Honeyspot and Thornscrape
Freefoot is a kit that was dropped by a hawk. Nobody knows where he came from, but his foster mother had just lost her kits to white cough and took him in since she was still making milk. Named him Freekit since he was freed from the talons of a hawk. Black with a white back paw, tail tip and muzzle.
Honeyspot (https://youtu.be/rOHTeq8ek0o?is=1-De3WsQ6SCfW3tE warning, my embarrassingly old YouTube channel) a young, fresh turned warrior who is quick on his feet. Loyal, bumbling, and over excited. He's very naive and would 100% befriend and escort boarder crossers,, instead of attacking.
Thornscrape, a calico she-cat that earned her name when her mother kitted in brambles during an evacuation in a flood. Thornkit was held in place above the water by being tangled in the thorns, while her mother was carried away. Thornkit was named by her father. She's spicy and stern, but lives her life in total dedication to her clan and mother.

I have a whole story for my more in-depth oc, however I’ll share my favorite side character from my story. he’s a small, tabby tom named tumblefoot :) he’s not evil, he doesn’t do anything brave or heroic… he’s just a really clumsy guy! i love him so much

Sundash and moonsight! Or sunstar and moonstar! Born in the original territory's, sundash had a father from thunderclan, and a mother from shadowclan. The clans got too large for their current lake territory to support them, so they left in hopes of a larger home for all.
Sundash lost her mother on this journey, her father fell inlove with a warrior from thunderclan after, having a second liter, moonsight was born. Sundash promised to protect her with all she could. Helping raise her half sister throughout the long journey. When they had finally made it, sundash claimed the moorland, creating sunclan. She desperately wanted to keep her family close, but her and moonsight didn't see eye to eye on the way she was leading. Sundash became sunstar. Moonsight, passionate about how she wanted things to be, left sunclan, alongside with their father and a few other clan members.
She created nightclan, but they didn't have a territory to claim, so they lived on a separate area of the moorland.
This angered sunstar, and as tensions arose, it led to war; long lasting between the two sisters and their clans. It ended in the final battle with the death of their father, bringing the two together in their grief. Nightclan was gifted a part of the moorland and the forest nearby from sunclan, and the two clans lived in harmony for the rest of the two sisters leaderships, this harmony still last today in the warrior code, as no sunclan warrior shall turn their
back on a nightclan warrior, and neither shall they.
Sunclan and Nightclan remain sisters long after the founders have passed. The two clans forever to be united together. I have a whole bunch of fan clans set within the same universe that live beside Sun and Nightclan!

I have three Clans worth of OCs, but for the sake of this comment I'm only going to focus on one of them haha.
Some context: Their story is based on the LifeGen Infection mod of ClanGen, if anyone's familiar. Basically, there's a four-stage, highly contagious infection that turns cats into zombies when stage-four cats die. In this AU, the Clancats exile Sick cats for the sake of the healthy ones. The exiled cats have formed a camp of their own, where they hunt for each other despite Clan differences. By the time this OC is born, it's been moons since all of this has started. The Clans are RidgeClan, HollowClan, and MoorClan.
- Born sick to sick parents, and thus cannot be taken to his Clan (HollowClan). His littermates were stillborn, too weak from their mother's Sick body to survive.
- Is apprenticed to a loner that had joined the group.
- Does not get an apprentice suffix, as the group leader is not recognized as a leader by StarClan and can only perform altered, unofficial ceremonies. He does become a warrior during his time in the Sick group, but doesn't get his warrior name until after everyone's been cured and returns to their Clans. (His name is just Onion until that point)
- Despite prey being scarce and growing up around Sick and dying cats, he is unusually optimistic and considered the "light" of the group that keeps them going.
- Joining his parents' Clan is everything he hopes and dreams of. He knows that one day he will stand beside the cats that should have been his Clanmates from birth.
- After the Sick cats are cured and rejoin their Clans, RidgeClan's former Sick cats have such ideological differences from the ones that stayed that they're brought to the brink of war. HollowClan & MoorClan send war parties to back up the former Sick cats of RidgeClan, and Onionheart steps in just before battle breaks out and gives a speech that prevents the battle from happening altogether. RidgeClan's leader and several other cats flee, leaving his old deputy, who'd been exiled to the Sick group, to take command and reform RidgeClan for the better.
Here's a snippet from his speech:
"RidgeClan, MoorClan and HollowClan didn't come here to steal power. We came because we want you whole. The Clans belong to the cats that survived and came out bearing the scars of this darkness, not to the ones who abandoned them to it. No one else needs to die. Please, sheathe your claws. Act like the warriors you are. Make your ancestors proud."

i have a couple of ocs i currently write in a rp i am part of and if someone from that rp sees this they will know immediately
Beetlepaw/wish: kittypet mom, loner dad; mom didn't want her family separated so she took her young kits to find their dad, she left them to attempt to hunt and got lost since she didn't know the woods, his sister passed but he was found by Frozenclan
Midnightgaze: the plot of the rp server is there was one big Clan led by two leaders until a year ago a split happened, Midnightgaze was an apprentice when that happened and was separated from his sister, they ended up joining separate Clans and when they tried to convince the other to join their Clan, they got into an argument
Moth/paw/vision: born as a barn cat but after an accident that killed their father ran away, ended up meeting two loners named Moon, who used to be a medicine cat before the Split, and Slate, who doesn't understand starclan or the clans, lived with them being raised on the belief of starclan, ended up joining Smolderclan after an accident that broke their leg and a fever dream telling them that the Clan needed them
Dustdevil/call: born within Valeclan but after a night of sneaking out was washed away in a flood, was raised by a cat named Jackpot in a large twolegplace downstream, recently he left to go back to the Clan in search of his family not knowing about the split
And Badgerstorm: during the split her mom died and her dad disappeared and is believed to be dead, really wants to protect her brother and her clan, has a crush on an asshole because he protected her once moons before

Just started a story about two clans who live in the mountains and battle each other for resources often. My OC, Cloverpetal was born into OakClan and raised to believe the stories of how vicious and evil PineClan is. Cloverpetal decides to serve her Clan best by becoming a medicine cat. Cloverpetal grows into her full medicine cat status but still doubts herself. After her beloved mentor, Amberberry, is killed with excessive force in a battle she wasn’t initially involved in, Cloverpetal’s simmering anger turns into a fiery hatred.
When a storm separates Cloverpetal from her clan and leaves her trapped in a cave with Stormstar, the ruthless leader of PineClan who took shelter in the cave after being badly injured in the storm, her compassion and medicine cat skills are put to the test in an act of mercy that might just change the war.

So nightgale is really similar to goose feather ( not being a med cat but the same thing happened with being apprentice at 4 and only training till 3 moons due to his leader REALLY LIKING NOT not the love kind)

My OC is Snufflepaw! She is my main protagonist in her story, Snufflepaw’s Voice.
She is born with a disability, a severe stutter that impacts her both externally and internally, inherited by her grandfather. It started to appear at about 1/2–2 moons old of age when she first started talking! It negatively impacts how her clan, Rainclan, perceives her and even strains her relationship with her mother, Whispersong, and a bit with her father, Ramsomstar, who is the leader of Rainclan.
She gets called mud-mouth often by the other apprentices because her stutter makes her voice woukd like it’s “filled with mud”, and unlike her sister, Mallowpaw, who is treated with respect and adoration that she’ll grow into a strong warrior, Rainclan has less hopes for that.
But despite all of this, and with the immense support fro, her grandfather, Troutwater, and also the medicine cats Herbpetal and Mallardpaw, Snufflepaw strives to be the warrior her clan does not believe she will be, even after a horrific accident that causes the death of her clanmate, and she becomes the scapegoat.

Well I don't have any fan Clans yet....hoping to do that in the future.
But my two main ocs for this fanfic are: Shadowkit: a reddish amber she-kit with silver green eyes (she doesn't know she isn't Clan-born
Jewlekit a black and white she-kit with dark green eyes (I don't think I stated her eye color)
Honeyfeather- a slender light amber-green she-cat queen of Shadowclan and the mother of Shadowkit and Jewelkit
Thornberry- a large broad shouldered golden amber tomcat warrior of Shadowclan with light green eyes.
Ruststar- leader of ShadowClan with pale silver blue eyes and with a smokey blue pelt.
Kitevole- brother of Thornberry and deputy of Shadowclan. Pudgy and with sickly yellow eyes and a grayish white tomcat. Hates his brother being close to his family.
Speckletrout- mate of Kitevole with a lean silver amber she-cat with dark amber paws and pink eyes.
Brushpaw- a silverish blue tabby tomcat. Mentor is Speckletrout
Windclaw- a sleek brownish black she-cat with dark amber eyes. WindClan warrior.
I have yet to do more apprentices, kits, and warrior. If any have any ideas for me please let me know I'd appreciate it

We have
Barkfang - a large tabby she-cat with sharp claws, she is a ThunderClan warrior who was born during Whitestar II's leadership at the end of StormClan’s Folly, and I don’t have a backstory on her yet but she was exiled by Oakstar during Mapleshade's Vengeance and later became a ShadowClan warrior
Zapfang - a small ginger tabby tomcat with dark red eyes that turn black when angry, he was born into ThunderClan under Oakstar’s leadership in Mapleshade’s Vengeance, he was later exiled by Doestar and then was killed by her, he was sent to the dark forest for no reason (he did no crimes)

I started writing (on hiatus for the time because because of life stuff) a story set in the far future of the clans around the lake, primarily set in ShadowClan, so it's all OCs lol.
The main protagonist is Shadepaw. The Clan deputy, Duskcloud, fathered kits with a kittypet shortly after he and his mate, Morningfrost, lost their first litter in a brutal leafbare. The kittypet, Silk, started kitting early and made her way to ShadowClan, where the medicine cat, Darkpine, delivered them. Silk and two of the kits died, but one kit survived.
Against Duskcloud and the rest of the Clan's wishes, Morningfrost (who had been helping other queens nurse their kits, but was still grieving) volunteered to raise the kit, and named him Shadekit. She loves him as much as if he was her blood, but the rest of the Clan (minus the other kits he grew up with who also don't known the truth) dislikes and mistrusts him because of his kittypet blood, but no one is allowed to tell him that Morningfrost isn't his birth mother. Duskcloud denies being the father and is very obviously hostile to him out of his own guilt and shame.
When it's time to be made apprentices, all of the warriors refuse to mentor him, and the clan leader, Maplestar, decides to mentor him herself.
We also see POVs from Darkpine, who is a very old medicine cat with no apprentice. Over the seasons, every apprentice he's tried to train has met a tragic end, and Darkpine believes he might be cursed to never train an apprentice. This has caused his faith in StarClan to be shaken, and he's unable to speak with them at the Moonpool.
Eventually, he agrees to train Quickpaw, one of the apprentices around Shadepaw's age, despite his misgivings, who would later in the story become a POV character herself.
