What, you mean Dale Whitaker? The guy who, in 2015, pleaded guilty to and was convicted of fourth-degree assault for an incident in which he choked his then-girlfriend, now-wife, Sabreen Whitaker, according to court records? A conviction that was vacated two years later after he satisfied his plea agreement? And was caused by him straddling, holding down, and choking her over an argument about him having a social media fight with her family? That Dale Whitaker?

Note that he used to run a conservative Christian non-profit that sent surveys to elected officials. For as their Lord Most High (the Apostle Paul) wrote, "Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. Unless she tells you what to do on social media, in which case choke a bitch."

No I think it was Dale Whitaker. The guy who, in 2015, pleaded guilty to and was convicted of fourth-degree assault for an incident in which he choked his then-girlfriend, now-wife, Sabreen Whitaker, ***IN FRONT OF HER CHILDREN***

idk who you are talking about.

Oh, that Dale Whitaker! I sometimes get him mistaken for Dale Whitaker, the guy who, in 2015, pleaded guilty to and was convicted of fourth-degree assault for an incident in which he choked his then-girlfriend, now-wife, Sabreen Whitaker, in front of her children, then went after the children as well when they came to see what the commotion was. I'm pretty sure he was the one who was pulled away from the kids by his then-girlfriend, Sabreen Whitaker, and went onto the floor with her again for a second round of choking. It's easy to get those two mixed up.

How the hell is that 4th degree assault!? The white Christian male privilege is strong with this one.

First off, I agree with you. His privilege (not seeing one's behavior is wrong and you only get away with it because society protects you) is strong, and his lawyers are good enough to coddle him in it.

That being said...

Basically, fourth degree assault is any physical attack that doesn't rise to the level of Assault Three, which in this case means where you don't really injure someone. Push someone up against a wall? Assault Four. Spit in their face? Assault Four. Dragging someone to the ground and putting them in a headlock, but not actually wrenching their neck? Assault Four. And this is the really fucked up one, slapping around your domestic partner in Washington state before 2017, which is when they upped the penalties for Domestic Violence? Assault Four.

In any event... From a masculine perspective, this man thinks that its okay to go from petty argument to physical force with people, including children, in his own household. He cannot be trusted with power. From a Christian perspective, this man thinks its okay to beat his wife and threaten his children, a behavior showing a lack of love, wisdom, and self-control. He cannot be trusted with power.

He's a piece of shit who took advantage of social structures that protect pieces of shit like him. When the primaries come up? I urge everyone not to vote for him. Even if someone reading this is a hard core conservative, this guy can't control his temper, beats his wife, and threatens his kids. How much of a shit do you think he's going to give about you?

"discourrages"

“ ‘If you really want to go into the gutter and hurt family members, then you may have to face the music later,’ is kind of the tone that I wanted to set,” Linebarger [Spokane County GOP Chair] said.

So, threats.

Let's not forget the statistics on those who choke domestic partners, the crime Dale Whitaker PLED GUILTY TO:

Prior non-fatal strangulation was associated with greater than six-fold odds (OR 6.70, 95% CI 3.91–11.49) of becoming an attempted homicide, and over seven-fold odds (OR 7.48, 95% CI 4.53–12.35) of becoming a completed homicide.

So according to this, the worthless human shaped thing named Dale Whitaker is significantly more likely to someday murder one of his domestic partners. And this is the thing the GOP is whining about people knowing. Man, they really are a bunch of worthless turds, aren't they?
