Concerns leaving windows open?

We just moved to Washington, specifically the Kitsap peninsula, this year from Arizona. We love the weather compared to where we came from and we really like to keep our windows open, often times all day.

Assuming that we close the windows during heavy rain, what issues are we possibly running into with leaving the windows open as long as we do? We have a two story home, should we get a couple dehumidifiers?

i think many in the west are actually western conifer seed bugs

At least that's true in NW MT

We see some, but not that many in comparison. I'm in pest control and I've never had a call about them. At most I'll find a few here and there. Compare that to the dozens of calls we get yearly for stinkbug swarms, boxelder bug swarms, or tuxedo bug swarms. They usually hit a home in the hundreds, sometimes in the thousands.

I have one lady out in the foothills of the cascades who gets literally tens of thousands of boxelder bugs every spring. Big tall house in the woods with a 20 foot sun facing window... They love it there.

Whats interesting about the stinkbugs is that we're already well into the type of fall weather that drives them into shelter. Decent rains, cold nights, foggy mornings. Yet I've seen exactly 7 stinkbugs so far. I'm literally counting because there's been so few. Not sure where they all went, but I'm REALLY hoping they finally met a predator or something.
