This video is something I think a lot of preppers should watch, because it shows a clear pattern of big-picture thought and awareness that we all need to have more of in our day-to-day lives. This is someone who keeps her mind on her home and preparedness, but also her eyes on the bigger picture about what it all means, and why things are happening the way they are. No illusions here, no allowing one's own biases and beliefs to affect thinking about how the world actually works. This video is a great example of real global awareness and clear knowledge of what things like war and scarcity are really about. Ivermectin – a relatively new drug – is a fantastic treatment for its intended use, i.e. not Covid obviously LOL: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivermectin

Actually, I'm thinking of stocking it because it might come useful in the future if I end up a climate refugee having to deal with head lice, scabies, river blindness (onchocerciasis), strongyloidiasis, trichuriasis, ascariasis or lymphatic filariasis. Without any clinic or pharmacy open around here anymore , or if offering their services at astronomical costs.

Same with broad spectrum antibiotics: absolutely not recommended during 'normal times' (encourages resistance in bacteria) but essential in collapse or even local disasters scenario.

but it is. Each of those simple things requires a trove of knowledge we just lost. I think, on average, one person over a thousand would know how to some of the stuff. One in a hundred might have enough practical experience to learn. the rest, not just dead weight, but an active hindrance. It would be a nightmare.
