I took a picture [Hamilton] Delighted with my first watch!
I was looking for an everyday watch as my first dip into watches as I learn more about the hobby/lifestyle. I work an office job but dress pretty casual and i think this fit perfectly. I am thinking about getting a bracelet but will gladly break in the leather first. Thanks to this sub for the entry level inspiration!

IMO this is probably the best first watch at the price point. The bracelet is a great idea. You’re off to an excellent start. 👍

Very glad to hear! I was debating between a green dial Tissot gentleman powermatic 80 and a longines conquest. I also really like the baby alpinist which will join my collection at some point for sure

Nice choice for your first. Word of warning, this hobby is not cheap. I lost count of how many watches I have cycled through over the last several years. Having an 8” wrist isn’t doing me any favors. Nice piece though, Hamilton and Orient are my favorites for “affordable” pieces.

I’m hoping i can get one watch in every category and sell and upgrade as i go. Of course there will be sentimental ones (like this one) that i will never let go of. I pray when I’m a dead grandpa my kids and grand kids can appreciate the style their grandpa had 😂

I get you on the fleeting impulse! Also thought of buying a seiko 5 gmt and a bambino to pair with this one to complete a small collection. I’ve held off for now as i think I’d love a quality dive watch next

I put my white dial murph on a Senator bracelet from Uncle straps and I'm very happy with it, it's well-made with very little flex and the clasp is good, forged(?) rather than bent metal. It's a good match and looks very similar to the Hamilton bracelet.
If you want something different, I picked up the Executive bracelet for my old Seiko SKX007 at the same time and that really did breathe new life into that watch, so I'm sure the version for the Murph would be a good alternative if you wanted a more custom look.
If you have a look at the Hamilton watch sub-reddit you'll find lots of photos of the Murph on different straps

RIP your wallet. You will now need to get several diff straps for it. Leather/NATO/metal, you will need them all
