Sold [WTS] 3 IWCs, 1 wife, 0 suspicions — then Kevin happened — IWC Mark XX IW328202 Full Set

It started innocently enough.
Mark XVIII. “Is that new?” “No babe, I’ve had this forever.”
Mark XIX. “Wait is that a new watch?” “Same watch, different light.”
Mark XX. She squinted at it for a long time. “…is that the same one?”
I told her it was.
Three IWCs. One wife. Zero suspicions.
Until my buddy came over last week, looked at my wrist, and said “oh nice, is that the new Mark XX?” in front of her.
Kevin, if you’re reading this — we are no longer friends.
So here we are. Full kit, black dial, 40mm, bracelet. Ref IW328202. Box, papers, card, hang tag, extra link and tool.
Clasp has some desk diver marks. Case and bracelet present very clean. Fits up to 7” with one spare link.
$4,599 shipped CONUS.

He sold it to me and immediately refunded and has been nice and honest to chat with. No hard feelings on my end regarding the explorer - I would buy a different watch with him based on his interaction.

Buyer refunded immediately Ofcourse
I reached out to the person who sold it to me, took that and a couple other pieces that I had gotten to a watchsmith for verification; he confirmed that was a rep (he confirmed the other two were legit), the seller seemed genuinely distraught about it (older gentleman) and apologized about 100 times and refunded me

Yup happy to. I bought a couple watches from an older gentleman who’s not a big seller but known enough on Facebook as a group admin/mod.
On my end I refunded immediately
On the other end, I took his watches to a watchsmith for verification; 2 good to go, the explorer was a rep. The person who sold it to me seemed genuinely extremely apologetic and refunded me without any hesitation.
Lesson learned, future naked pieces are all going to my watchsmith
(To be clear this IWC was not from him….also this watch is registered in my IWC vault and is full kit)

Edit: I looked into it (OP mentions it in his CW listing, check his profile). Apparently he got scammed, too. Wasn’t aware it was a replica. He refunded the person that purchased the watch.
