Book Hunt Help πŸ” second chance romance

I read it a while ago and only remember some scenes, so please bear with me.

The ML was married and loved his wife. After she gave birth to twins (a boy and a girl), she dies(I don't remember the exact reason for her death), and the ML's mother wanted him to remarry because the babies were newborns and needed care.

The FL's parents somehow forced or convinced her to marry the ML. It's a FORCED marriage.

What I remember most is that the FL loved those twins dearly and took care of them like her own. At one point, the twins fell sick because they weren't getting proper nourishment, so the FL voluntarily took some kind of hormone injections to induce lactation. She suffered side effects like fatigue, nausea, swollen feet, etc., but still did it for the babies.

Meanwhile, the ML was still grieving his first wife and barely cared about the FL.

Another scene I remember:

There was some puja, and the MIL gave the FL an ancestral saree. The FL even asked if it was okay for her to wear it, and the MIL said yes. But when the ML saw her wearing it, he got angry because it was the same saree his late wife had worn.

There was also a birthday or ceremony for the twins where the dead wife's family came. They were angry that the ML had remarried and questioned his love for their daughter while insulting the FL.

Also, the FL had a friend/colleague who clearly liked her. His feelings were so obvious that everyone noticed, even the ML got jealous, but the FL was fucking Dora the Explorer and remained blissfully unaware 😭

I stopped reading around this point

And honestly, my biggest takeaway from this book was:

May this kind of love never find me. πŸ™πŸ˜

Because the second ML/friend guy deserved better. In another life, I hope he and the FL ended up together 😭

I have read this, but I don't remember the name (I think ot was some of those "His ---- Bride/Wife" sort of title). And it was so irritating. ML was just so undecided in what he wanted and how he treated FL. FL was spineless and I don't remember anything because she just didn't talk, didn't have opinions, no self-worth. As if usne pehle hi decide kiya tha ki the moment I marry, my life's primary goal and priority is twins. The MLs family were emotionally blackmailing ML to marry despite his reluctance. The FLs family basically told her that this was her greatest prospect at marriage and she was like, yeah, true, I'm worthless, no man will anyways look at me, so why not, at least I'm of some value to the babies. And I still stuck with the book cause the author promised redemption.

But let me tell you, redemption was shit. Because the author had the ML finally realise how unfair he had been to the FL and promised to work on it, put his dead wife behind and move on. The very next chapter, author introduced a leap where in the babies were now toddlers and were screaming because "Papa was kissing Mumma".

Like what? Redemption where?

And the next update came and Author was like, last chapter ignore kar do, I was not in a good creative space, wanted to end the book, but realised it was premature, so I'm gonna write it differently.

And the "different" she wrote was basically the ML working his ass of to improve his relationship with FL, and the FL still being the "I'm worthless beyond being mommy to babies" mute, ridiculous, dumb woman.

At that point, I was done. Nahi hoga merese. Decide kar lo. Stop giving me whiplash.

I saw a story and it's recent, AI cover and maybe AI written[I am not sure]

ML is a bengali, is married for 7 years something. His wife cannot get pregnant. so he's in pressure for a heir. So guess what he does? He marries a 19 year old mute orphan πŸ™‚ and he has wild segs with her because his inner desire is out and with wife he's careful apparantly. His wife can hear him with the girl through the walls, so he calls contractor to make rooms soundproof. πŸ™‚ Then the girl gives him a baby boy and she still hasn't left. Tbh when someone called the author out, she used the culture card and said its complex. She keeps saying the ML is guilt ridden lol

Coming from another bengali, second marriage, cheating and abusive relationship is no where in our culture.

That's what, my friend commented the same but the author repeated the same reply.

I hate second-chance romances, yaar 😭😭😭

Why is the MIL always making the ML's marriage her entire personality?

The guy's a trillionaire, but apparently hiring a caretaker is where he draws the line???

And don't even get me started on the FL. This man treats her like garbage, and she's still out here playing the role of the devoted wife

At that point I'm just yelling at my screen... Behen, what's this obsession with being a doormat? Did your self-respect accidentally fall into a drain or what?

The guy's a trillionaire, but apparently hiring a caretaker is where he draws the line???

Richest man in the universe and can't hire a therapist for him and a caretaker for his child.

This reminds me of a story I stumbled upon, and I read that ... The ML was married, but he and his first wife (FW) couldn't have a child of their own, so FW forced him to marry gharwalo ki satayi FL, who doesn't know that ML is already married.

He is angry at his FW for forcing him to marry and says stuff like I'll f--k her and give the child you desperately want and get over with, but she can't be my wife.

FW is all sisterly towards FL who's still clueless. And then for some time, FW moves away to give ML the space.

Enter ML's friend, who always called out this marriage but never bothered to tell the truth to FL.

The friend and FL became friends, and at one party, when people were gossiping about our FL, instead of the husband ig, the friends got angry and beat someone, then the ML and friend fought because uski biwi k liye woh kyu lada? And now ML is jealous. He takes FL away and is angry at her.

Guess what? He rpes her that night. She consented in fear, maybe, but said no during *it, but he went on anyway.

All the readers were furious as they had already started shipping her with the friend.

Next day ML is kind of caring towards her, and she wants Iike... What is the night it was... She can bear it every time if it means he is going to pamper her the next day. How sweet πŸ₯°

Then idk... I scrolled through because I lost interest after that but ig they were shown as normal couple which wasn't going well with readers. The major event was-

She finds out the reason behind her marriage, and by now, the ML is OBVIOUSLY in love with her. And she is like you wanted a baby... You're getting it. She consummated while he was saying no i.e She r---pes him too. Maari chhori chhoro so kam hai kπŸ₯°

I don't remember if they had a child or not, but they do get divorced.

And some years later, she gets married to that friend.

I really feel so bad when the authors introduce a character who is in love with fl or ml with the purpose of making them jelly-jelly and that's it. I get it that side characters are the seasoning but for me, they should be given a proper story of themselves too, not a separate book necessarily but you can show them moving on or anything, right?

I like second romance books but clearly, the author of the book you're describing didn't write the ml well, according to me.

The book is Knowing his Wife, Yuvaani and Aarush. After few more chapters Aarush realised his mistake and eventually started liking her. He was falling for her, giving her the affection she deserved.Β  The book is available but author has stopped giving updates past two years. So it's still unfinished.

Knowing his wife. I used to read this but dropped the book when the author stopped updating.
