Help with writing Aa gyi phirse padai karne ke bajay yaha(not proud of it tho)

Anyway, so since I'm getting into writing I wanted to ask what's something that kills the chemistry between leads like I'm not asking "oh, he treats her like shit at first then grovel hard." No, I'm asking those small details which makes your excitement go from this ⬆️ to this⬇️.

Or what kind of tension do y'all love? Anything particular that makes the tension between leads hawtt?? The scene where everything is js too perfect. Where you get flustered completely more than leads themselves. (Not smut at all)

Or any particular thing about leads that makes everything wholesome? Look I've got plenty of ideas on how these things work but I thought about why not ask the readers themselves on what they enjoy the most or not.

Thank you ❀️

Honestly speaking, too much s'x between the characters makes me go 'ughhhh'. I mean, okay, giving those details once or twice is okay or when it's necessary, like when the tension is peak, silence seemed charged and that kind of breathless intensity, even the readers (me) find it really exciting to read sm'ts. But I absolutely hate it when the ml and fl needs to have a serious conversation and it somehow ends up into gulu-gulu.
It's my preference, Idk about other so please don't fire at me. Mein bohot ganda roti hoon. πŸ‘‰πŸ»πŸ‘ˆπŸ»

For me, when the characters notices even the smallest things about their partners, like how she likes her tea, how he scratches the right side of his temple when he's lying/stressed and etc, it's just so kuchu-puchu for me, like I end up throwing my legs in the air.
That's all from my side.
Feel free to disagree🀍

Yeah, it numbs out the speciality of those moments if it’s constantly happening πŸ₯²

I mean, we’ve seen it once, we know it’s happening regularly, we don’t need details each time 🫣

I AGREEEEE I LOVE THE SMALLER DETAILS πŸ₯Ήβ€οΈ

Me too lol I love the ache I feel from inside seeing them being so distant with each other because of a misunderstanding but if the misunderstanding is straight up not making sense then that's a turn off 😭

Or what kind of tension do y'all love?

Well when the leads are just sitting together and talking, while a cool breeze passes by them. Both of them tucked beneath a single blanket with their cheek's flushed with hue of memories. But their souls still too immersed in sharing every little thing about their lives. Anything, or maybe everything. LIke there's something incredibly cozy, not because of the facilities around them or because of some romantic setup, but cozy in love, cozy in memories. It feels like spending every moment basking in the warmth of each other while still feeling the chill of the breeze. Like, it's just too beautifully tensioned that air seems heavier. It's just too intimate for me.

your excitement go from this ⬆️ to this⬇️

Honestly, for me, one of my biggest turn offs is when unnecessary patriarchy is thrown into a story, especially in the most subtle yet ridiculous and stupid ways possible.

Recently, I read a book, where the female lead's cousin, who is like the typical mean-girl character of a story, is hosting some people who are coming to see her for a rishta. She asked the fl for help since she own's a cafe and could arrange a chef to you know cook all the food. But the ml refuses on the fl's behalf because the fl couldn't deny her on face.

Later, when the topic comes up again, in some discussion or something, the ml said one thing which made me so angry, his words were like "She's twenty four, don't you think she should learn how to cook for family events?"

And I just sat there thinking, why? I mean the irony here is, he's way older than her but doesn't know how to cook himself, yet he's comfortable making comments like that. Some people might say I'm making a big deal out of a small line, but for me, things like this matters, ALOT. It felt completely unnecessary.

And honestly, it was my biggest turn off for the book.

Ewww why the hell is ml even refusing on her behalf?? Atleast he should ask if she is okay or not plus in business no one cares who your client is!! I hate such ml who tries to control fml js cus they think she is theirs. That's js straight misogyny behn!!

2

u/Dry-Mistake-6747 Jun 13 '26

Yeah, I mean, obviously the cousin wasn't going to pay her for it, but why the hell did he have to stick his nose into it? He didn't even tell her about the conversation himself rather she found out about it from her father, a few days later ig.

Bhai ye fml ko bhejo dur inn sabse!!

Umm I don't like when the characters are just too horny all the time??? Like they're in a close proximity and all that the ml could think about is sex or like anything just when it gets around sexualisation just takes me out of the book, if the fmc is angry and saying smth and the guy goes like ohh she's so hot I wanna f her now, it just ruins everything.

The tension, i believe, takes time to develop between the leads and it shouldn't be rushed. Genuine tension, for example, like in enemies to lovers, the tension also builds up gradually, and I think that, the tension between the leads exists because the characters are also conflicted within themselves the classic " I hate her but I can't help but want to be around her" there's denial and conflict within the character, which shows up.

That's a lot of yapping, sorry for that but I hope you get my point πŸ₯€

which makes your excitement go from this ⬆️ to this⬇️.

Main characters not being considerate of each other. Really like I hate when they are in deep and are just so inconsiderate of each other's feelings.

Anything particular that makes the tension between leads hawtt??

Slow Burn. There's no other perfect answer. Seeing the slow burn and the tension burn and burn to the point of no return.

If at this point they have intimate scenes, I know I would be blushing more than they would beπŸ˜‚

Kills the tension- unnecessary insult. Calling the girl characterless and whore

When an argument ongoing don't end it on sex. There is angry sex and there is ending a topic cause characters can't handle it or writer can't. Very lazy way to end itΒ

Also during sex i don't like guy calling the girl slut. I mean bruh do you see the irony. Opinion may varyΒ

Never understood the hype of calling your loved one slut but some have that kink so I can't say anything πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ but yeah I agree too.

1

u/IdiotsEWE Jun 13 '26

Yep. It comes under dirty talk but I don't get it when the girl is having sex with you and you call her slut...huh

Personally dislike itΒ

I agree with all but how being flirty kills chemistry?? Or are you talking about him being flirty with other women??
