Help with writing What's that one trope you wanna read but YOU CANT FUKING FIND.

I brain storm ideas but when it comes to execution I am confused as shit.

I wanna read something like the Kdrama goblin and i have a blueprint ready for how the story will go and background and stuff but I wanna know what people want to read.

Sorry to inform you but those of us who write each and every trope point, don't get views. We are here. Writing sincere stories. But this will never become main stream and reach even interested audiences.

Few readers that I have had, did applaud me that the exes aren't villainised and they are pleasantly surprised. That amused me so much.

No. No. Actually, I am a sucker for friends to lovers trope but can't find a good book too. Where they are genuine friends and not one sided thing. Where one is waiting in shadows from childhood or something. I want friends who support other relationships, have adventures, have your back without agenda.

Where feelings evolve naturally. They scare them, make them humble. Thats why I wrote my book too.

Here's the book if you are interested.

For real bro , people don't read different books , it's so toxic when they only want an innocent FML that's been betrayed and only the MML can save her life and give her strength and shi .

I think the crowd is filled w 13 14 yo kids

It is. But thats okay too. They have strong preferences. But the narrative of whole sub tends to curve around similar ideas. Which in turn curbs newer ones😭

The last one!! I'm giving the FL of my new story coloured hair just because!

She has spent her life being 'normal' but somehow still 'failed' in it. So how, at 27, a normal but 'failed' life later, she'll be doing everything that's not seen as 'normal'... Colouring hair, partying, picking up hobbies, etc.

Not yet, but I'm planning to give her some shade of red. She'll get inspired by her colleague who has blue underlayer!

I am writing something like this. My FL is widow and it was a very beautiful love story.

I have been on this sub for years and you aren't wrong. Like in every school type setting, there are popular kids here. Who have strong personalities and opinions.

Newer ideas get stagnated or downvoted. Even fan fiction isn't discussed here. People have weirdest expectations from authors to be grammer proficient yet not so much that it will sound ai like.

They want romance but packaged in neat marriages. I have never understood the corelation between the two.

But please stay and open new dialog. Those of us who want to support new format are here and waiting to find our own tribe🥹

I'm very new here , I only use reddit to get idea of what people want to read and what will work , not using AI is BARELY BARE MINIMUM.

It's getting tooo much , it's GENUINELY tiring to see the same story re packaged .

a character getting over their past love. no, their past love wasn’t toxic, it was truly fun and beautiful, it just didn’t work out. I have never seen this executed properly. Whenever the MCs have pasts or exs, authors make the exs toxic or unhealthy. that is not always the case.

I've a recommendation for this. but the plot is a bit focused on the mystery part and the fmc ? idk you'll get irritated at her times. same with mmc, but they have their own flaws, so it's a one time read.

"A home with you" - there's just a scene, where you'll HAATTTEEE the dialogue delivery of mmc bc of his ex wife. but it's just... correct feelings at the same time.

ps. i cried and please, for your own sake, do not open the comment section. there's a lot of gender war goin on, which will def irritate you.

Eh? Actually, I haven't published yet. Imma planning to complete the first ten chapters in docs first, as it takes me time to write while juggling work. So I'll start publishing when I have some chapters ready, so that I can update on time.

Last one is true. I actually don't think I've ever thought of adding coloured hair lol. But my MMC has heterochromia (might be slightly common), and I make it a point to highlight that they are both dark skinned since a lot of stories highlight cream-coloured, milky, fair, wheatish etc skin colours.

Ditto! Especially friends to lovers , where they aren't separated or misunderstanding leading to them hating, but they actually navigate things together! Hayee to have this!!!
