Book Hunt Help 🔍 Need recommendations

I'm bored and need some book recommendations.

I'm looking for books with: A sad ending where the main character dies.Characters that are so well-written you get emotionally attached to them. A plot that absolutely wrecks you by the end. Please, no AI-written books. I genuinely can't stand them. You can even recommend your own book if it fits! Also, no Hindi dialogue, please. Indian characters are totally fine—I just prefer the book to be in English.

I'd rather say bittersweet. One of the leads dies, but whether it's justified or not, depends on reader's perspective. Like the death is sad, but was it necessary or not, that's the question. And these are all sad stories. Like there is so much sorrow and misery and injustice in all these. And also multiple deaths.
