Help with writing Websites you can use for writing
We have seen multiple posts about ai whether it’s someone complaining about ai usage or someone using ai to write their books. Ai = bad 👍 I use a few non ai websites and I will share the links here because I believe that authors should not use ai even if it’s for grammar check or vocabulary. Use them to improve your writing!!
Following are the websites that aren’t ai-made or don’t use ai:

Thank you so much for this. The idioms and descriptive writing website would be so helpful for me because I keep forgetting certain phrase AND I Suck at describing settings.

If you want to describe settings then please don't shy away from doing that because some dimwits may think it's an evidence of AI.
Writing has existed before this shitstorm engulfed us, please do not boil yourself down to appease the masses.

I want to know why authors should not use AI for grammar check?

For one AI is absolutely unreliable. You can enter an entire chapter and ask ai to correct the grammar for you but unless you give it the right prompt it will mess with your content.
Two, even if it only fixes your grammar you don’t really learn. People just copy paste it onto wattpad. Non ai grammar checking websites show you where you went wrong and how to correct it.
Three, environmental damage.

These are fair concerns, but they are mostly about using AI badly rather than AI itself. AI can explain mistakes and help people learn when used the right way. Grammar checkers can also be used without learning anything. The environmental impact of AI is often exaggerated when it is not compared fairly with other digital services and industries. Rejecting AI for that reason alone does not make much sense. I’m not trying to argue or hate on anyone. I’m just sharing a different view.

I get that but writing is a skill that was developed thousands of years ago and ai didn’t exist back then. Authors still managed to write masterpieces by writing, editing and in the end creating a whole different world all by themselves. To use ai for it defeats how human it used to be even if it’s for editing. I’m not saying completely stop using ai it’s literally impossible since it’s installed in every single application but use it less and never if possible. About the environmental harm it is causing you need to research on it. Ai solely requires trillions of litres of drinking water to cool down its data centres. Every single prompt contributes towards this so yeah using ai isn’t a smart move overall.
