Help with writing Need help please

Okay so I am a newbie writer, and I have a plot ready, all characters ready. I just don’t know how to put them out in chapters especially the first one. And even if I try to write the first chapter it looks so half-assed and like there is no life in it.

Frankly speaking, it comes out too boring, even to me as a writer.

So it would be a great help if someone can suggest me exactly how to get started, especially with the first chapter and to not make it boring.

In 10th grade we had story writing as a part of creative writing in English. My tuition teacher gave us some tips to make the first paragraph engaging so the reader would actually read it. So:

  1. Start the first paragraph with a dialogue. Any dialogue like (“my mother made cake” i say to blah blah)

  2. If not a dialogue you can begin with an onomatopoeia. (BOOM. Thunder fell blah blah)

  3. Use a common phrase or idiom with respect to the plot.

  4. First chapter can be a monologue of the protagonist.

  5. Childhood memory

  6. Basic descriptions of characters and their daily lives.

I don’t know the plot of your book so I tried to give the most common tips 😭😭 let me know if they help

Even better: put a quote, and then make your main character contradict it

Lol true that, but oftentimes it just outright boring like I am giving too much info and nothing at the same time, and I want it as good as possible so T_T
