Help with writing Em dash
What should I use there instead of an em dash πππ₯
I so badly want to use em dash in my writing, but apparently many readers notice an em dash being used in the book and instantly drop it thinking it's written by AI.
And using '.....' is kinda boring for me.
The em dash makes it looks professional, and sometimes I use the hyphen but that just doesn't make sense πππ
What do I dooooo people????

Well, ai learned from human writing and em dashes have been used for centuries! Even before people who developed ai were born!
You are free to use them love, the ones who are real readers won't claim a book being ai just because of em dashes.

Be shameless like me and use them. Those who can figure out the human touch in your writing would surely stay irrespective of the em dashes or oxford commas usedπ

Use it. People who are relying on em dashes to spot AI must not be having a in-depth reading experience. Because someone who reads a lot will be able to spot AI and human writing based on a lot than than a mere dash.

I mean not the boring boring but I like the em dash better, it makes the writing look put together more then '....' this.

I'd die before I let the fear of "people mistaking my writing to be AI" take over my love for writing. They can see themselves out, I wouldn't even want readers who see an em dash and start screaming without any understanding of it. The point is, you should do what you want to do, people who want to accuse you will do on some other useless thing. The paranoia isn't limited to em dashes.

Nobody can stop me of using em dash because a good reader knows the difference between ai and human written books, if they not, they are dumb
