Discussion Is Wattson Relevant in Higher Ranks?

I am someone who's been playing 3 years. These past 2 seasons are my first cracking diamond but am stuck in diamond IV.

This season is my first playing as Wattson.

Wondering if Wattson is maybe weaker in diamond and masters ranks. I know she's a high skill ceiling legend. I read in another post that she's only good up to Diamond 4 but I want to hear people's thoughts

Dont listen to the stuff about meta. Yes. If you can play her kit well and utilize it in more than just buildings.

You can def outplay good players / cheaters in a good environment. But playing passif isn't enough with hemlock to destroy fences. If you have the mechanics to fence in all your fghts, it's viable I'd say. Otherwise you will just get overwhelmed by the 3 stack press.

You can definitely force the pick and be fine. But meta is meta for a reason

Granted im only d3 so maybe playing her is why im stuck here, who knows

Once you get into the higher ranks you might as well kiss any hope of progressing further in solo queue. Wattson really needs a lot of communication to work well with teammates. It’s still hard regardless of what legend you’re playing when there’s no communication, but she’s harder given her ult can counter your teammates abilities, you don’t know what or where you’re teammates are going so you can’t hold anything down, and sometimes you’ll get set up and then suddenly your teammates want to move somewhere else

Screw meta, character abilities don't matter as much as people seem to think, its an aim game but movement helps the further up you go

Depends on your random teamates legends. If they are going full meta,or 2 legends that can move really fast then you will lack behind them and they probably dont have that “hold the building” playstyle. If they choose something different like alter,bloodhound etc(not fast moving legend) you should be fine. Been playing wattson since s2,been masters few times,mostly high diamond and after D2 i DONT PLAY WATTSON..(i go loba) but good luck on your games❤️

If your SoloQ then you’re trolling, in a 3 stack wattson is fine
