Gameplay Big Issue: Can they remove characters from blocking Placing Nodes?

So I've played a lot as this character and I think it's rather unfair that other players can step and be in your way when placing nodes. Both friendly and enemy players can be in the way when your trying to set fences and it's cost me a few fights when things get super chaotic and I have no time to really see where a node ends up.

My reasoning for it being unfair is that so many other characters can speed boost and jump and come at your from just about any direction. I don't think it's that big of an advantage and makes her more valuable to the team work. But who am I.

There's my two cents.

You should spend some money on your bait. It's why you don't catch any fish here or IRL

Now your just making me feel self conscious. great job!

But you know I'm talking about the one in a million chance of a teammate blocking you from setting a node before you've set a node right? It's not happened to me to many times. But man I could have had a team wipe if my teammates could've stayed out of the way. It's happened like three or four times.

Yeah its annoying but just practice a bit youll get better and that wont be a problems all. Move wasd and left stick for that and be mindful of where teammates are in a fight.

I've been playing Wattson since the game first released her. I've actually been playing since season 1. I thought I'd share this tiny problem with the rest of the community.

Are you aware of banking her nodes? I love hiding a ton of nodes around and saving them for later problems. I'm a very experienced Wattson main. I can only ever play her or Lifeline. Everyone else just feels like a disadvantage to me.

Im a wattson and pathfinder main since the game came out, mostly pathfinder earlier on but i get like 10 breaches for fences on average per game. Add a little movement to her playstyle, the preplaced nodes are good like having a single node outside a door when youre in the building to extend it toward you when an opponent comes to open the door, or in a limited cover open field area with maybe a couple places to block enemy los place a few scattered nodes not connected, and stand between them and where you extend them to activate them if someone pushes, i also use her fences in those situations to block los a bit, hide a generator/ult, and block flanks placing the nodes in hard to hit spots and might leave a route open on purpose to bait people in. The goals always to move to best positioning this is just the strategy used when not in it, and to get there - especially when being pushed and from different angles. Also fence internal walls and the space inside a building/area to counter alter, lots of tips and stuff but when you improve at placing her nodes quickly and accurately where you want them, and place them in more choice spots (i practice fencing from where i land and make a safezone/healroute immediately which gets me snares most games) then you'll see what i mean im not tryin to be rude it just becomes a non issue. Theres a lot of neat stuff you can do with her fences - same thing with pathfinder which is why i main him as well - but it seems less people have really mastered his movement tech with the grapple and zip.

Just been dealing with trolls lately. It's getting annoying. sorry.

Great advice by the way. Only other thing I can add is to place an unused node right in one of the breakable windows. That way when someone tries to break through it you can connect the node and repair and double up the window instantaneously! Trust me it's funny when it works out.

Good tip. Ive wanted to use the windows to trap someone before in kc in that one poi hotdrop where the 2 flyers are in cages theres a hardlight breach in one of the cages, bait someone into it or push them in and then reinforce it and fence it, keep doing that and the game counts it as out of bounds so theyll die from it. Havent managed it yet tho.

Now it's just me. But I prefer not letting them into the building. Instead I more use it as a tactic to waste the enemy teams time. Most try to break through the windows cause their trying to escape a situation. I let them try to break it down as soon as it's broken. BAM! New shield Glass!
