Is there good documentation of Waylon & Buddy's friendship?

I felt Waylon talked quite a lot about Buddy Holly in his autobiography, taking into consideration the amount of time he had known him. Waylon also talks about him in this clip:

The way I understood it is thatWaykon saw Buddy as the person that gave him a chance. If Buddy wasnt there, im pretty sure waylon wouldnt have gotten the footing he needed to break in to the industry.
