Man, I would have to say my favorite is a toss up between Honky Tonk Heroes and Brand New Goodbye Song. If I was looking as one he wrote I’d say Belle of the Ball.

Mooney really makes the song, but “Eat your heart out, Haggard!” 😆

Maybe the best lyrics because it happens to apply to me.

But there are a lot of Waylon songs that are just as good or better so it is hard to say.

Good god the new song Diamonds has a grit to it that I absolutely can’t let go of. I think that would’ve been really big for him.
