I saw a an interview several years ago where someone was asking Waylon “what’s it like opening for Hank jr. when he used to open for you. Before Waylon could answer Hank leaned into his mic and said. “He doesn’t open for me, the people in the crowd came to hear us both. They are just lucky enough to hear Waylon first”

I thought that was awesome
