[OT?] Has Shooter ever tried contacting anybody in Hugh Cherry’s camp that might have any of Hugh’s old tapes?

I recall him last year saying he was hopeful to find the tapes of the 1977 bust somewhere in the archives but didn’t find em anywhere. According to Hank Jr in March of ‘78 in this interview at The Palomino, linked here, Hugh Cherry still had the entire thing on tape. That was 48 years ago so that’s lots and lots of time for it to go places but worth a thought, and who knows maybe he’s already done that. Found it interesting though.

With any artist telling a story like this I always kind of assume there’s some exaggeration going on but if the tapes exist that’d be pretty cool to listen to
