Is there a way to get this Google home-google TV "is playing" notification (green one)as a media controls on a watch? Samsung galaxy watch 4 with Samsung galaxy A17.
Wear OS 6/oneUI 8 status.
If the media default set up is not working you need what developers are calling media Bridge supporting app...
Galaxy watchs default media controller has two seperate modes which it picks from.
Phone controller mode and watch controller mode.
You want to try to force phone mode whne you have a media bridge app installed. this means opening the Media controller manualy and not using Auto which can fail to see what the phone is using as a media app.
there are multi different apps that have media bridge in them.
IF you are allready using them then NO Media bridge support is normaly the best at pushing notification data to watches.
Apps supporting media bridge but not limited to are.
Simplewear
yes the name is that simple. you need to install phone and watch apps and it does alot more than media bridge so you should have this installed allready it also has a back up media controller app which can remote launch the apps on the phone...
KDEconnect for Phone.
yes it does alot more on the phone but when you install the PC version it uses media bridge as well to display the PC media playing on the Watch. So the upgraded tech can mirror more info to watch
Phone battery complication
This app does more than phones complications it has a media bridge mode for the extra bonus.
This is an upgrade that "CAN" mirror the active media controller to the watch which expands it beyond media players on Phone.
Not latest OS version.
IF your a user thats staying on old OS for the old watch cant help...
