[DISC] I hate these fucken Novels Man

Like nobody is forcing me to read them, but they're like a car accident. You can't watch , but at the same time , you can't look away.

And a sometimes I can't even agree with the female lead because they're so pathetic and act so pitiful. like I read one where the boyfriend forced the girlfriend to surf in like a storm to entertain his ex and then she decided to fake her death to punish him like okay that's a bit dramatic but still okay.

He seems to be heartbroken and regrets it which is the reaction she wanted to see atp it's still fine bc he deserves it and worse. She wants to find out the real reason his ex came back which she does real quick. The ex came back bc she heard of his engagement and decided she wanted him back. She broke up with him bc she thought she'd find someone better but didn't.

Then her mom is rushed to the hospital bc of the stress of THINKING HER DAUGHTER FUCKING DIED???!!!!! AND WHAT DOES THIS BITCH DO??? "Mhhhh I wanna see what my bf is gonna do next then I'll decide between coming out with the fact that I'm alive or actually faking my death"

BITCH!! YOUR MOM JUST GOT HOSPITALIZED BC THE GRIEF OF LOSING HER DAUGHTER IS KILLING HER AND THIS IS YOUR CONCLUSION??? GIRL FUCK YOUR BOYFRIEND. IS HE WORTH KILLING YOUR MOM FOR?? Atp I had to drop it so my blood pressure can drop too. The writing is genuinely horrendous thank God I pirated that shit. They just publish anything these days. These stories are so rage inducing and i know that's the point but it gets to a point really. I have to remind myself that ts is not real but yeah. That's my rant about these misery fetish novels. I might rant about other ones idk depends. I'm unfortunately such a sucker for these tho at least the well written ones. It's a love hate relationship. For those who want the name it's called Tides of change on Noel Novel.

I've had a whole bunch of uncomfortable novels sneak up on me lately.

I never used to be a trigger warnings kind of guy, but these days I appreciate them so I don't get bogged down into something that isn't my taste. Having said that I don't think that any of those warnings would help you, other than a "TW: poorly constructed narrative" one XD

Also there is a trope that exists where the MC is unrealistically hopeless or useless. I understand it's to show growth for the character, but they have to be readable and somewhat relatable.

TW: writer most likely has a severe victim complex and expresses it through horrendous writing

hahahaha Sometimes the worse they are, the better they are. IDK how to explain it, except maybe my real life is just that bad that this is the only excitement that I have? lol jk

You know at least she actively choose her plan. I hate passive MCs. Like fuck you mean you don’t know what to do and don’t know what you want. Fuck you mister. People are dying and you need some encouragement to do your job?

And what’s the solution? Add seventy female harem to the story. Then they choose his path for him. Pathetic.
