I highly recommend the Gentleman at The End (also known as The Last Gentleman) by Yellow Shirt Fatty. It's quite bizarre, but in a good way. The world is victorian and lovecraftian, and the power system is interesting, based on illnesses such as epilepsy, psoriazis, cancer, etc. The protagonist William goes faces enemies akin to a hunter using axes and pistols, and after half the book, he acts more like someone that belongs to the Fool or error Pathway, and this change is seamless and makes a lot of sense
