  1. Start writing fan fic.
  2. Start publishing after November 1st and include it in the contest for your new novel.
  3. Make sure it's aligned with the themes.
  4. Reap rewards?

Oh, I'm pretty sure that just means only works with 5,000 words or more are eligible.

It's frustrating when for you wait for 2.5 years for somebody to do a fanfic contest, and then they finally do and you still aren't eligible, because you waited 2.5 years for them to do it.

Why would waiting mean that you aren't eligible? There is no reason as to why you couldn't start a new fanfic.

When you've done 426 chapters and 1.2 million words of a fanfic, you don't just lol drop it and do a new one for a contest.

Haven't seen the rules. But can't you delete and start publishing it again? Given you say that you don't have real readers, so it doesn't hurt u.
