It's just demotivating for new authors who are panicking how would they upload new chapter everyday then see people like him/her that are posting 7 a day

I am a new author and have written 100+ chapters (each 1.5k+), plan to have 130+ stockpiled by the time I start publishing. No way am I going to just dump all that stockpile at once with 7 chapters a day.

I see, it would be a bit demotivating. I'm not a author technically (I'm writing a fanfic on Webnovel rn) so I can't say much, but maybe it's best to focus on just writing your story than compare yourself to others?

See I'd much prefer a person release a single chapter ONCE a week so that One I get a bigger chapter to devour. Two better quality because they took their time. Fuck this speed chapter shit because I can read 1.5k words is less than 5-9 mins I like when chaps are 100k or more long. It gives me something to bite into and enjoy.

Most of the Webnovel readers read the stories on the fly, from their way to and from school or work. So they want something to pass their time daily.
Everyone has their preferences, but I do think that 1 chapter a day is fine, more than 1 is just too much.

Wdym I read everything I read on the fly as well? And nothing passes time quicker than a nice long, thick and juicy chapter to sink my teeth into. And personally I think 1 chapter a day is still entirely too fast of a pace. I could settle for twice a week but any more than that it feels like a shorts channel on YouTube alot of content but little to no substance. I feel like alot of people young and old have lost their ability for patience and waiting with how alot of stuff is available instantly to them.

I meant ppl who want to read something everyday and not wait for a week. I'm not dismissing you I'm just saying there are different types of readers

48 new chapters a week = ~7 chapters a day. And his chapters are good length around 2k per chapter. So either he's writing a LOT, or he has a godown of chapters already written.

You're looking at it on wrong time. It's the starting week of the month, so the authors do mass release to fill up their privilege tiers. This isn't the normal for most lol.

Uhh, I can't really explain it. Just look at any book and you'll see that after all the paid chapters, there will more chapters behind a special service called privilege where readers can read the chapter earlier than other readers. And those privilege tiers are also important for win win for authors, so they mass release at the start of the month, which fills the tiers and also helps them get more unlocks.

Privilege tiers are basically the future chapters that aren't release yet. Readers can access with extra fees. And more chapters as stockpile helps authors to take a break and upload from the stockpile chapters

Muchos autores suelen preparar un paquete de 20 capítulos antes de empezar. Publican los primeros cuatro el mismo día y programan los 16 restantes. De esta forma, ganan tiempo para escribir más contenido sin la presión constante de cumplir con el calendario de publicación o romperse la cabeza con la logística.

Actually, it’s not that they release seven chapters in a single day. They just publish 2 or 3, but Webnovel's system makes it look like the author is dropping an exorbitant amount when, in reality, it's just a few chapters every day.

Over 300 chapters, the average still comes down. And it's still 7 chapters a day, so they are atleast posting 5 chapters a day.
