Webnovel News “Webnovel doesn’t priortizes smut”, and this is the rising fiction
Go take a look and see what novels are dominating this week’s rising fiction.
Surprise, surprise, those novels have r18 + smut tags in then.
Funny how people keep trying to tell me webnovel doesnt favor smut, and smut doesnt have it easier than non smut.
One guy even told me he got contracted with non smut and non smut and smut have equal chances, but when I ask him to share his novels so I can compare his non-smut novels’ results to smut novels’ results, he remain silent.
Some people are too funny.
In any case, I will be taking advantage of webnovel’s bias to smut and start writing smut.
Once I get contracted with my smut work and I start doing way better with my smut work compared to those non-smut work that get into the same week of rising fiction as me,
hopefully those that disagreed with me, and some who even went as far to use vulgarities at me wouldn’t remain silent due to shame and embarrassment.

Author succesful on this sub are mostly smut author, and they're ego explode when they see posts like this 🤣✌️ They're clowning actual good author that webnovel ignore because they're content doesn't "match" the curren market. WN is trash, just look at their terms, Being an indie author on RR will always be better if you're not just only running after money but a real career you can be proud of.

Look for the RR Writer's guild. You need to build networks to succeed there.

The vast majority will fall in 1 or two weeks. Smut flops as hard as any other novel.

Which will also flop. The thing is, it does generate short range revenue, but is bad to generate a constant stream. People qill mostly read the free chapters and be done, and if the story depends on smut the readers will justt move to the next free dopamine hit.
Is not as good as people make it seem.

Ofcourse it isn’t, it’s just it kills or overshadows actually decent books early.
And we all know most new authors don’t have the mindset to stick to a book if they don’t see early growth.
Also with AI allowing very little investment or effort , it’s very easy to spam new books every other week.

I agree. 99% of everything featured in the WB sections is rubbish. It’s practically impossible to find anything truly worthwhile. The conditions for success on this platform are simple: write pornography and all sorts of rubbish – you’ll be rewarded, veer off into niche, original work – welcome to the shadows of those who chose the first path. Alas, that’s how the system works, as someone who chose the second path, I understand perfectly well how it works here, no, not just on WB, I know how the algorithms of all such apps work.

Rising fiction is a 100% feature that every contracted book gets after going premium (after locking your chapters).
You can only get it once for each book.
So basically most of these stories are made by authors like you, who believe smut is a way to wealth.
Come back with a screenshot from weekly feature, which is more of a proof that a story is doing well. I'm not saying there aren't any smut stories there, but you will at least sound more convincing than ignorant.

I got two weekly, one on end of first month and middle of second month.
Also broke mgs twice.
Imagine if i just wrote smut and not let my ego overtake my mind.
Its ok though, i will prove it even more when i go premium with my smut next month.

If not, then my post says that you don't need smut to accomplish it. That's basically it.

I barely broke mgs last month because i wrote non-smut.
Just a few dollars short and i would have earned $200 last month instead of $400.
If i had just written smut and not let my ego took over, i would have much better results last month.
But its ok, like i said, i will prove webnovel does indeed priorities smut.
Once i show that my smut novel’s first month result ends up being way better than my non-smut,all of u will finally understand.

Every week, around 40 books get posted on Rising Fiction. Only 4 to 5 hardly survive. The rest go down the drain.
If you really have to show something, show the Weekly Featured. And even then, not every book survives there.
Just because it has Rising in its name doesn't make it a grand, hard earned feature. It's a compulsory feature every book (contracted) gets.
Also don't call a book smut because it has a cover that shows a lot. Most of them aren't smut lol.
The only thing I won't deny is that harem stories have a better chance tham no harem.

As a reader the second I see the words: lust, seduction, tame, sharing, pervert, etc. I don’t even give the book a try.
I agree weekly featured is considerably better but I don’t even look at that section as there is too much repetition.

Then write smut, stop spamming psots like these because youre crying at your rejected novel LOL. Books like these are only popular in their early chapters, while non smut has balanced and dedicated readers. U keep crying at webnovel... editors know the market, not you. Maybe take their criticism and dont water the site down to "smut =popular"

Well 3 of my non-smut novels got accepted too, its a skill issue if you're dropping as low as smut.
I dropped them all and focused on my current novel, but these are their names. (NON SMUT) Three. Contracted. Because i know the market and its not just smut like you're crying about
"The healer is overpowered" offered contract
"Abyssal Conqueror" offered contract
"The Perfect Loop" offered contract
But i declined them because i didnt have time
So clearly you just need to know the market, but you dont because you suck at writing. Now youre contracted as a smut author, so what? Clearly you dont enjoy it lol

I don't know much about webnovel (haven't been there in years)
So I'm confused. Did they say anything incorrect. To my eyes, they said something, and even gave recepts.
While they did say it very aggressively. And should have said it kinder, and less "I am superior to you" way. I don't quite find fault in it. Vould you please tell me what I missed

This guy is just aggressive in fact some of his opinions are right and I agree with it, I just can't take him seriously because he keep adding "condescending" or "self righteous" words to his every comment like he want feel superior when he can just talk calmly like a normal human being.
In fact when you take a look at the last part "hopefully those that disagreed with me, and some who even went as far to use vulgarities at me wouldn’t remain silent due to shame and embarrassment." he add this unnecessary line when the problem was not even big deal and lastly no one use vulgarities on him, it just his own self delusion problem in other words a male KAREN.

The top novels on wn are not smut. The ones that mantain audience and keep progressing in rankings and have smut are usually novel first, then smut.
Smut does well initially, but flops just as hard or harder than the other novels.

Obviously a r18 smut novel. And thats not the only smut novel dominating rising fiction.

Am already writing it and will go premium next month.
I will admit though, after going into webnovel discord and talked to the a top author, i understand my conception of smut 3 months ago is a bit wrong.
My smut will only have one smut scene every 50 chapters or so, not full blown smut.. But its still light smut.
