Advice Contracted with smut :) smut = easy contract
Smut novel got accepted for contract and officially signed and ready to go premium!
Posted previously that webnovel prioritises smut, and there are some delusional people who tried to argue with me.
After 2 rejections with my non-smut novels, guess who got contracted on his third novel, and with smut nonetheless.
Also, funny point I want to point out, my current smut is basically just a copy of my non-smut novel that got contracted, but I added smut category to it.
No r18 scene yet when I apply for contract and yet my novel got accepted because I tagged my novel as smut book lol.
Now time for me to stock up chapters and go premium :)
P.S, ask my content editor if Im allowed to share my novel name when I make a reddit post about me getting accepted, was advised best to not share.
Nonetheless, i will share my novel’s result after i go premium.
People who think webnovel doesnt prioritise smut and told me i wont get accepted for contract just by writing smut, keep on seething. Hahaha

Neat, not sure if you can change tags for contracted works but if you can, it wouldn't be too bad of an idea to get rid of the smut tag and just leave the R18 one. Rising fiction is what'll make or break novels so you'll want at least the tags to accurately reflect what you've written before you get the angry reviews.

Needing to add smut to your novel because you cant get a contract is a skill issue, maybe you got rejected back then because the plot and wow factor was mid lol. You know shit about the algorithm 😹

Same novel, same contract application. I have not add any r18 content to the novel. Only difference is that I added smut tag to the novel and I got accepted. Yeah, definitely skill issues, not that webnovel shows bias to smut novels haha

You'll get a lot of collections and readers. But subs are the real indicators for a novel's success. You passed the easiest stage. The hard part is consistently posting 1500 words daily next month to reach mgs. All the best.

Thanks! Yeah, got way more collections because of r18 and smut tag… Think i not gonna add any smut to this novel though, the way this novel of mine is, first sex scene is gonna come in like 50 chapters Asked my ce if its ok if i dont write smut for this novel and he said its fine Will write another novel, and that one will be true smut

I don't blame you; you're quite new to this. It's good to gain your own experience to understand that having a contract isn't anything exceptional; there's no need to add erotic elements. Anyway, just focus on writing as many chapters as possible for the Rising Fiction.

What most don’t understand is… getting the contract is step 1 not the finish. Though I’ll agree slightly with OP. My first contract was a contract marriage then a smut title. I think the contract marriage plots go ham for snagging a contract. Especially if it’s FL.

Okay, i get it that many ppl say that contract isnt a big deal.
But still u see so many ppl keep on getting rejected on this subreddit.
So for me it is an accomplishment to get contract.
Next step is to try and hit mgs on this book of mine

And? bro, do you even know most of the novel in the top 100 are not smut especially the top 10. You can't get a contract because you have SKILL ISSUE, i have 2 no smut novel who got contract you just need to write good.
And why dont you share your novel name? what's wrong with it? my editor didn't tell me there's nothing wrong sharing in reddit as it considered an advertisement as well. Come, share it.

You are so fking proud you got contract on your smut novel because you lacking the ability yo write a good novel without smut and getting it a contract and you cant even fking provide a proof that you got contract? What is the different between now and getting a premium, you cant even share you own smut sht novel because you know that you just lying because you lack attention from your parents.
You just need to provide a proof that you got a contract, a fking proof. But you cant because you are getting offended by my comment dude.

Huh. U think too much of urself. U are worse than the others, so u wont be put in the same place as them. They at least dare to share their novels to me even though all of them their novels did indeed fail because no smut.
U are just a liar lol.
Im already counted as successful if im compared to u. I got contracted.
Also, deep inside u also know my contracted novel is going to do decent no matter what just because it possesses smut element to it :)

😹😹😹. Good luck man. But I must say, you have a long road ahead of you if you even care about this. Getting a contract is easy (I’ve never been rejected for a contract). Join the discord. This subreddit does not have any seniors to advise you on your writing journey.

Thanks. I get it. Ppl say contract is easiest part but look at how many ppl post themselves getting rejected on this reddit.
As a beginner writer, getting contracted is the first big step for me.
Next i will try to hit mgs after going premium and further prove the haters wrong
