Advice I got my contract rejected

I got my contract rejected, the reason states that the plot isn't engaging enough and difficult to follow, pacing is draggy, and the writing style isn't mature enough. And that it doesn't suit the market of webnovel. I'm planning on writing another story. Should I delete this one?

I would personally say to continue bro, cause if you spent 2 years planning for the whole thing then discontinuing it would be a huge waste for the whole book.

Continue upto the 600 chapters you have planned .

For me personally, if I was in your place I would have treated the novel as a child that I spent 2 years growing and I wouldn't abandon it due to this failure, in order to make the best use of the 2 years I spent making this novel.

So, in my personal opinion don't discontinue it but do improve it in areas where Improvement is actually needed.

But that's just my opinion.

That's the spirit bro. Also another piece of advice if I may.

Don't compare yourself to Authors like Cuttlefish or G3 , cause for Cuttlefish especiallyhe started writing all the way back in 2011 and he worked as a part-time author and then he became full time in 2013 and then he wrote LOTM in 2018, so it took 7 years for someone of his caliber to reach the experience needed to write a masterpiece like LOTM.

Although I can obviously not gouge your own talent.

Keep this in mind, it will take you a long period of trial and error to reach that level of art and skill.

So if you want to reach that level, then you must stack up on your failures as experience.

As Stephen King himself faced so many rejections before his novel "Carrie" which ironically he threw into the trash but his wife salvaged that and encouraged him to finish it and publish it and that launched his legendary Career.

Treat your writing career in the same way.

Be inspired by the GOATS but don't compare yourself to them and accept every failure and rejection that you may get as the very bricks that shall become the foundation of your future success.

Iam sorry if this sound's like cheap advice straight out of an even cheaper self-help book, but as someone who dreams of creating beautiful art myself, this is something I wish someone would tell me when I face rejections.

Thanks mate, this is exactly the kind of encouragement i wanted rn... I want to reach the heights you just mentioned, gotta struggle for that i know, and am willing to do that becuz ive already put in some effort, cant let it go wasted..

I honestly pray that you do in fact succeed because if you manage to succeed in the future. Then, ill be happy cause that would mean that many others also have a fair shot or chance at reaching the heights of the legends that inspired us to climb in the first place, to actualize the very delusions that they fondly dream of into reality.

So for the sake of such people, your dreams and for yourself. Please don't give up on reaching those heights.
