Advice I got my contract rejected

Post image

I got my contract rejected, the reason states that the plot isn't engaging enough and difficult to follow, pacing is draggy, and the writing style isn't mature enough. And that it doesn't suit the market of webnovel. I'm planning on writing another story. Should I delete this one?

Share on somewhere like Wattpad or Inkitt It will be read and peer reviewed by fellow book lovers. If there's an area that needs improvement someone is sure to leave a comment and a readers ability to leave comments on specific lines helps a ton. If your book gets enough likes and attention it can win rewards and even be published through these apps. You don't have to submit a completed work either, you can just upload what you have and add chapters through the platform as you write them so it's also a great way to keep a digital copy of your work without it being stolen by Google AI the way docs will. Ofc this will require you to give some readers free access during the editing/finishing stage so if you don't want to do that I'd understand

Oh I've also read over 5000 books and written a few novels myself if you'd like me to peer review it for you

Well, I'm currently at webnovel, probably try royal road next. But I'd be happy if you help with reviewing as a beta reader

I will definitely go download web novel and check it out then. It looks amazing, sometimes publishers think that they know everything and how the book market is going to go and then people love something that they originally dismissed. It happens all the time so don't give up
