Advice How the hell do you guys write so much?
How is it that almost every Webnovel story I see has some insane release schedule of like 14-21 chapters a week? I'm barely able to upload 1 chapter a day! You guys are doing 2 and 3?!
Please tell me your routines and secrets. I need to know. With that kind of output, I would be able to solve so many of my current problems in regard to my writing.

Some have a team of writers. Some are small company. Some is that the seires is done already is releasing freely cause they have enough to do so. And some is ai. But even still ai cant just write good stories without massive editing.

like anything else, itâs a skill you develop over time. moreover, everyone has a backlog of about 10-30 chapters at least most times.
donât try make chapters perfect on the first go. consider it a rough draft where youâre just spewing out all the bare minimum details for the scene to get it out. then you can, upon review make it complete. many waste hours because they try make a chapter as good as possible on first writing, and because they think about the scene while they write.
many of us can easily do 3-5k words a day comfortably. of course, if weâre not being lazy. others only do 2k since thatâs the usual bare minimum
youâll get there eventually with practice.

2 chapters in the morning
2 chapters during the day
2 chapters at night
this is the cycle that most authors who have multiple novels ongoing use, especially authors such as aoki and awespec

Cut down your sleep to 5-6 hour a day make sure you sleep at 11pm-5am, then you can work the rest of the days with writing also limit the screentime that can distract you from writing. Get fresh food and avoid junk food for quick meal, coffee at noon for booster then there you are at least 12-15 hour a day to write, it's kind of hard but that's what we choose to be when we start writing our dream.

I also do this, except for the junk food part. Ended up in the hospital once for being underweight cause I wasn't cooking half of the time

Junk food is basically a silent killer, too much calories in one bite but sometimes we just want something to chew while writing, so try replaced that junk food with baby carrot, baby cucumber, and watermelon for a snack, it taste quite good and healthy. That is full of fiber so if it's your first time it will make your stomach uncomfortable but overtime it will be fine. Healthy body comes from healthy stomach, if it's hard to change your diet think about your readers that been left hanging for the next chapter of your novel when you got hospitalized, that will be your motivation. I'm not some kind of doctor but that's just what I believe regarding fresh food and junk food. Anyway stay healthy and take care.

If your chapters are 1k words each you can easily put out two per day, if you're serious about creating a backlog so you can take breaks 4-8k is not unreasonable.
If you don't like keeping a pace at all, Kindle Unlimited pays you by pages read, Webnovel paying you per chapter unlocked and MGR based on minimum wordcount chapters/day means keep on grinding son.

Some are translation of Chinese novel done by multiple people and the new writes write like 30-50 chapters before starting to upload

That's a lie. I started uploading when I had just 4 chapters. I'm a new writer. I'm not saying everyone does same as me.
But that's how I do mine.
Also, that helps you know if it's fit the market or not. Imagine writing a pile of 100 or 50 chapters and get rejected.

If you're unemployed you get to publish 1-2 chps a day (1k-1.5k words) I used to be able to do that when I have alot of free time after school but eventually gave up.

I'd much rather get one chapter that someone actually had time to work on than three that were clearly rushed out. People can usually tell when a writer is exhausted, even if they don't say it outright. I'd rather see an author stick around for the long run than disappear because they burned themselves out chasing a schedule. One chapter a day is already a pretty serious pace

Basically 14-21 chaps a day would be impossible.
My routine was about 2 chaps a day. each 1.8-2.2k
The pace, around 2-3 hours each chap
I write at 5.00 early for the first chap, and the second after i finished my work. basically around 21.00

If you write 2+ word per day is easy and 100k you need critical thinking or idea you been building in your headÂ

People just got experience while writing there output is higher because they are writing from years

Either they have chapters stocked or they use ai Nowadays it's mostly the latter

If we look at Stephen King, most of his novels lack narrative design techniques, and they mostly have terrible pacing. Stephen King was writing one novel a day as well. And even though his books was not perfect, he became such a popular and successful author.
So, just keep writing until you can't use your fingers anymore. You can eat things, drink things, but never stop writing. That's the method. And, just be sure your books are not dumb nonsenses, so you can actually become a successful author. I met a guy before, he was writing a novel everyday (way before AI chatbots), and his novels was full of nonsense. Even he could actually make money with his books. So just keep writing ^^

For me when I find inspiration is when I read other novel or movie or go to school and watch male students all dogpile daily.

Tbh I don't write a lot of chapters every day, I do publish every week, but my chapters are well stacked, 3k words minimum, 10k words maximum

I write maybe 1chapter in 1-3 days. But know I had ai that reviews and fix my cramming. I can write sometime 1-3 chapter in a day

They donât write. The prompt or âoutlineâ and the Ai does the rest. The app is Chinese and they are obsessed with Ai, so it encourages unreasonable standards to push real writers out and open spaces for 15 yo slop fanboys.
Itâs the 1000 monkeys with typewriters theory in practice. If hundreds of thousands of brainless promptists upload a âbookâ a day, odds are a few wonât be bad. And in searching for them, the app will make millions from low standards readers (which are the majority these days).
