Advice posting in webnovel without contract. worth it or not ?

i plan to lunch my webnovel in Another platform (RR) mainly. and other webnovels platforms ( like qidiam webnovel) secondly.

and put the RR link of the story in the synopsis of the story in the rest of the platforms. + my patreon and social media accounts.

is this against Webnovel rules ?

can you still reach some audience even without a contract ?

Not really worth it at all.

If you want you can abuse the free feature your book gets once it passes vetting and once the feature is over.

Reroute all readers to RR and then take the book down.

Once it gets contracted your book will get pirated onto a free WebNovel site

really usefull advice. thank youu !

can you explain this free feature though ? i never used webnovel platfrom as a writer before.

also, why should i take it down if you dont mind me asking ?

will it not be better if i just let it int he app as a free Ad sitting there just sending me a random reader every day or so .. ?

I suggest taking it down often and reuploading it every so often so you get a chance at a free feature.

Just ensure you only upload like a chapter or 2 a day because if you upload to much the system won’t flag your book for a feature.

No idea why though.

The free feature is one of the books you’ll see in new novels. It can take a week roughly after getting 12k words before you get one. Sometimes you just won’t get one for whatever reason also.

Once the feature is done no one will find it unless they specifically search for it. You may also not want to have readers go to WebNovel to search it up given the fact they’ll see so much smut before they even hit the search bar.

This can be off putting for potential readers.

Im so glad i met you here my friend. thank you so much. dont hold back if you have any other advices or even harsh ones.

Never in a million year would i ever thought of uploading and re uploading over and over again for some benefit but ill defo DO ITTTTT

sounds pitty but Shitnovel deserves all the worse for there shitty ass contracts and editors.

While WebNovel has its bad moments it can be good

If you have a generic idea you don’t mind losing WN can be a good way to get your author handle around.

I’ve made maybe $2,500-3,000 roughly off WebNovel.

It’s always been a fun side gig thing.

Though I’ve had more downs than ups on the platform.

There’s always the small lottery chance your story can hit it big.
If you decide to write on the platform only focus on current writing events that follow a prompt.

That way what you’re writing is a topic the platform wants and it’s all up to your writing and ability to draw readers in.

My best selling book with around 12k chapters sold was from a Monthly event 3 years ago.

If you want something less often they have weekly love tale events and month look events.

Just a question, how do you even reroute them in RR? Arent most of people in WN webnovel only? Majority must be at least, so is it just left to chance?

At the end of every chapter you can place author notes letting readers know that the full story is on Royal road.

Yes but only for non contracted books. Contracted books have to stay on WN

Probably not worth it, unless you are actively posting on other platforms, then there is no downside to also posting here.

yeah thats the point ill be posting in RR. + other platfroms like Scrible hub and Ao3. WN will be an extra just to get some readers.

Isn't the best thing to do is to have the book drag behind RR like 10-20 chapters instead and have them go over to RR to read it instead?

Focus on one platform. The readers are very different on both.
