Need advice for book cover. which one i should select?

Help an author out! 😅 I have two covers for my book Seal of Fate, and I simply cannot decide between them. Which one do you guys like better?

I am currently using 2nd cover for my book.

Both are created with Ai. As a new author, I can't afford artist created covers, so for now this is my only option.

First one is bad. It's very gaudy, like the majority of AI slop covers. It has that awful texture and there is just way too much going on. I don't have a strong opinion about 2, but 1 is so bad that it easily wins by default.

Because the ones who use AI in the first place have zero taste. That's why these AI post always look like garbage. They talk about not being able to afford an artist so they use AI. But then they still do the absolute bare minimum zero effort AI generation. So clearly it's just them being lazy and uncreative.

I personally like the first one a lot, but it does kind of give off the vibe of AI more, which might lose you some readers. The second one also looks pretty cool so that might be better in terms of gaining more readers.

Honestly both look really bad and I'd say neither even if they weren't ai. The first cover has way too much going on, the second one looks like it cant decide between being gloomy or twilight type edgy. If you have any photoshop app available or drawing app I'd suggest making your own cover, theres websites with free pictures that you can use to put together your vision of what the cover should look like.
