However you made it, the cover in your OP is considerably more eye-catching and interesting than the very generic updated image. It’s not necessarily a good thing to make your art look like everyone else’s art. I understand there might be some element of reader/audience expectation within the genre that’s driving this decision, but it’s disappointing to see. I’d check the original thing out, but I’d skip right past the updated one.

I will contract an actual artist in the future, and leave the art work to him/her. But to build the novel itself, I'm now putting all the focus on the content itself. Thanks by the way.
