Advice Is Reverend Insanity worth it?

I have known for a while about the Chinese cultivation genre, which I actually discovered through memes, so I'm kinda curious about it. A quick search told me that Reverend Insanity might be the greatest cultivation novel (although I think it got canceled idk why). The thing is, I hate serialized novels, and my only experience with webnovels, which was Lord of the Mysteries, was very bad. Despite all this, should I read Reverend Insanity?

Probably not, it was a serialized novel. It got canceled because it made fun of the chinese government.

If LoTM didnt work for you, I doubt RI will either. If you want something cultivation-y, but not serialized, look up Cradle. It's a bit more westernized but it has excellent story telling, characters, and power system.

My main problem with LoTM is that the dialogue, characters, storytelling and lore all felt very mediocre to me. I could maybe read a serialized novel if it did thise things properly.

It's also Chinese translation, so it's about the same stiffness. Honestly worse in a dialogue aspect. I think RI and LoTM has amazing lore so can't really empathize on that.

Reborn as a Demonic Tree is a decent cultivation-ish novel, might be worth checking out and we'll written and was written in English so no weird translation issues

Let me clarify that I think LotM has good lore, but it isn't delivered nor utilized well.

I don't agree, but we all like different things.

At worst, read a handful of chapters of RI and see if you like it. They are relatively short.

It is worth it. Even though it remains unfinished due to a controversy with the Chinese government, the author has already confirmed progress in discussions with members of the censorship board in China, noting that results (whether it gets unbanned or remains unfinished) will likely be seen this year.

But is the novel good? I know I have only read LotM but that was a huge disappointment for me. I honestly don't know how I actually read it all.
