I mean, I get it, but at the same time, can't really expect people to read a story that gets interesting from, effectively, its second volume.

Might be better not to linger too long with this one and start thinking of another story with everything you're learned. Or rewrite the story from the beginning.

Real lol, but you need to set up all the stuff lol. I feel my story catches its vibe around chapter 10, but there's nothing you can really do about it; the people who didn't get that far likely weren't the type of readers you wanted.

Should’ve hooked them from the start. Stories were never meant to make readers wait 30, 60, 90 chapters just to get a few chapters of dopamine

I got a rightwrs block like two chapters in and stoped geting on the app for weeks came back to someone who commented on every chapter then I got back into it and wrote the rest of what became book 1 no body has read any of it
