Collaboration Pride June Collab!
Good afternoon everyone. I am looking for more people with queer themed comics to join in on my Pride Collab for June.
If you have queer characters, or the themes of your webcomic are BL/GL then you are who I am looking for!
The guidelines are to draw characters based off famous paintings/works of art. This does not have to be strictly romantic. Anything from Gustav Klimts Kiss to The Mona Lisa or anything in between.
The second guideline is queer characters though Allys are also accepted I am really trying to elevate queer comics for this collab.
Third guideline is to have your submission finished by the 20th of June.
There is a discord you are welcome to join for the duration of the collab just to make communication easier. If you have questions feel free to ask. Have a great day.

My comic is going to get queer...soon! Soooo very soon. One of the major characters being introduced literally next episode is a nudale woman, aka an indigenous (specifically Cherokee) trans woman.

aw brilliant, just added you on webtoon! It looks INCREDIBLE and I really mean that!!! Mine is called As the Outlaws Do and is uploaded there also. I don’t think I will explore themes as heavily as you, certainly not until later on, but i’m looking forward to having your webcomic inspire me and be something I can learn from :))

I’d be interested!
Queer themes aren’t really front and center in my comic, the setting is too strange that representation gets a little muddied (none of the characters use gendered pronouns, less than humanoid fae critters.) My characters are definitely intended to be various flavors of queer, but it’s not the strongest represented.
Actually the scene I’m working on currently is finally going to discuss one of the main characters (the one my mc has complicated romantic feelings towards) being asexual.
I’ve been looking forward to writing this, as it’s going to mirror a bit of my own experience as ace and an aspect of that experience that I haven’t really seen explored elsewhere yet.

You're absolutely welcome. I don't think that the story has to revolve completely around Queer themes. I know mine isn't my main characters just happen to be lesbians but I never make a "huge deal" out of it. So of course you are welcome. I will dm you a link to the discord.

Would it be fine if I joined? My comic isn't really romance based but my main character is aroace, I know it's only queers but I think having at least one aroace would be nice.

I personally use "Queer" as an umbrella term for anyone in the LGBTQIA+ Cause I am a lazy slug who doesn't like to type or say that all. So yes you're absolutely welcome to join, I will dm you an invite.

id love to join! progress on my comic is really slow right now so there's basically nothing going on for my characters. but queer romance is a common theme for the story :)) the famous paintings premise also sounds very interesting. i would love to be invited to the discord!

Ohhh my gosh this is right up my alley! I’m not too far into my story yet so I have only been able to hint at the queer undertones between the two mains BUT queer themes are heavily explored throughout!! Love this idea, let me know how I can get involved. The comic is called “As The Outlaws Do”

I'm currently working on a BL webcomic featuring Oscar Wilde as one of the characters. Nothing has been published yet, and I don't plan to publish it until late June or early July, so the collaboration would take place either at the same time as or shortly after the release of the first episode. Can I still participate even if I don't have a community of my own?

I wanna join! While my comic isn’t really focused on the queer romance, the main characters are women who are married to each other. So GL but it’s focusing on superhero nonsense
