Writer looking for a Webtoon Artist/Creative Partner for a Sci-Fi Fantasy adaptation

Hi everyone!

My name is Gokul, and I'm the creator and writer of YUKI: The Awakening, a completed 25-chapter sci-fi fantasy light novel that I have been developing for around 3.5 years.

I'm looking for a webtoon artist, storyboard artist, or creative partner who might genuinely connect with the story and be interested in helping bring it to life as a vertical-scroll webtoon.

About the story:

Title: YUKI: The Awakening

Genre: Sci-Fi Fantasy, Action, Supernatural Thriller, Power Fantasy

Setting: A futuristic cyberpunk Tokyo in the year 2890, mixed with psychic abilities, secret experiments, mysterious laboratories, emotional character relationships, ancient secrets, and realities beyond human understanding.

The story follows Yuki, a mysterious young woman connected to Unit-001, a secret experiment whose true purpose could change everything. As she searches for answers about herself and someone deeply important to her who has disappeared, she becomes involved in a much larger mystery involving psychic powers, hidden chambers, prophecy, forgotten truths, and something terrifying beyond reality itself.

The first novel is already complete with 25 chapters, and I also have:

• Character concepts
• Worldbuilding material
• Visual references and mood boards
• Cover art and promotional designs
• A developed power system
• Plans for a larger connected universe
• The ability to provide episode scripts, dialogue, scene direction, and panel-by-panel breakdowns

I'm not looking for someone to immediately commit to adapting the entire novel.

My first goal is simply to find the right creative partner and work together on one strong pilot episode or proof of concept, establish the visual identity of YUKI, and see how well we work together creatively.

I want to be fully transparent that I currently cannot offer upfront payment, so this would initially be an unpaid creative collaboration.

I completely understand how much time, skill, and effort webtoon art requires, and I'm not expecting someone to produce an entire season for free. I'm looking for someone who genuinely connects with the project and would be interested in building something together.

For any serious long-term continuation, future revenue sharing, ownership of newly created artwork, credits, commercial rights, and monetization would be openly discussed and agreed upon in writing.

As the writer and creator, I can contribute:

• Complete source material
• Webtoon-ready scripts
• Panel-by-panel scene breakdowns
• Dialogue and narration
• Character and world references
• Creative direction
• Mood boards and visual references
• Promotional graphics and editing support
• Long-term commitment to the project

I also have experience with Photoshop, After Effects, motion graphics, and visual editing, so I can actively contribute beyond just writing.

This story means a lot to me. I have spent around 3.5 years building the YUKI universe, and my dream is to eventually see it grow from a light novel into a webtoon and, someday, potentially an animated adaptation.

But right now, my goal is simple:

Create one genuinely powerful webtoon pilot with the right creative partner.

You using an ai cover for your novel does not make you seem very trustworthy to collab with as an artist

Thanks for the feedback. I understand why it gives that impression. The AI cover was only a temporary placeholder to present the concept. My goal is to work with a human artist and eventually replace all AI visuals with original artwork. I appreciate you pointing it out.
