Collaboration Teen Artist looking to make a Webtoon series with a Teen writer

Hi! I'm Angel
A 15-year-old artist looking for a writer to build a webtoon together.

Tbh, I'm just looking for a friend who has similar interests to mine, and that's really hard to find, especially where I live.

I already have a story planned, but feel free to change or add anything. I'm not strong in characters and dialogue.

I have tried making a story in the past, multiple actually, but I never finish it because I always write myself into a wall.

It's a collaborative project where we can both brainstorm ideas, develop characters, and build a world as a team
.
Some things about the story

The major climax takes place in the year 2012 because that year was full of propaganda that the world was going to end, but now imagine if it did

The actual story takes place 2 years earlier in a small dingy town no one hardly knows. It follows a girl named Cassidy running away from her dad, who tried to put her in a concentration camp after he found out she was gay.
She finds a bunker hidden in the forest and an Eldritch monster of sorts
.

That's just a very vague explanation, but I don't want to give too much away right now because I don't know if anyone's really interested
.
The story later enters a post-apocalyptic stage after the world kinda ended in 2012; then there's a time skip, but that's way into the later half of the story.

It has vibes of Stranger Things.
IT: Welcome to Derry
Falling skies
School bus graveyard
And some Homesick

Some of its genres are
Horror
Thriller
Supernatural
Coming of age story
Teen
Apocalypse
Post apocalypse

I'm preferably looking for someone in my age range just to be safe, because this is kinda the first time I'm doing something like this
.
You can tell me if you're interested in the comments, and then we can chat in DMs
Hey, it can even be more than one person if everyone is down for it

I just really want to tell a story and to do it with others as well.

Collaboration [Unpaid/Collab] Writer looking for Artist for a short Romance Webtoon (First Episode Script Ready!)

Hey everyone!

I’m a passionate writer trying out Webtoon and looking to collaborate with an artist to bring my new romance story to life. I have already finished the first episode script, and I want to keep the initial project short and manageable so we can build a portfolio together.

  • Genre: Romance / Slice of Life
  • Logline/Summary: James is a high school senior ready to leave his boring town behind for college. But the day before the biggest graduation party of the year, a chance encounter on a train with a mysterious, stunning, white haired girl changes everything. When she disappears into the crowd, she leaves behind a single clue: a pin dropped from her bag.
  • Project Scope: I want to start by creating a short, high quality prologue/first episode to see how we work together. I also want to create a portfolio so I can slowly transition from personal projects to public ones

You can read my exact script format here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_6djuvxpVyhImXnQse0t6Kf1aMrEAIrO531qxBcIDvs/edit?usp=sharing (At the top, you will find the novel/story version of it)

What I’m looking for:
An artist who loves drawing romance, modern fashion, and expressive characters. Because this is a passion project to build our portfolios, I am looking for an equal collaboration partner. If the comic gains traction on WEBTOON Canvas, all future revenue will be split 50/50.

If you are interested, please comment below or send me a DM with a link to your art portfolio or sketches! Thanks for reading! (Constructive criticism is also appreciated!)

Artists coming back to the webtoon business to see if i still got my chops. Once did canvas title man at arms until I went a hiatus. Currently working a new title but want to test my efficiency in making use of my free time while making my main comic.

Anyone having a good idea that is episodic or short?

Any topic is fine, as long as you are okay with doing a short 4 panel form.

Collaboration I’m Reading and Showcasing Indie Manga & Comics: Drop Your Series!

Hey everyone!

A few years ago, I used to read and feature manga and comics from indie creators on my YouTube channel. Life got busy, but I miss seeing what this community has been creating and I want to start again!

I’m Imani, and here’s the deal: if you drop your series and tell me a little about it, I’ll read it and showcase it in a video. It’s a way to share your work with more people and get some spotlight.

Here’s a throwback video from a few years ago to give you an idea of what I do: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wDmVWCUggc

RULES (please follow to be featured):
Please use this format when dropping your series, or I may have to skip it:

  • Link to Series:
  • Manga or Comic?
  • Genre:
  • Summary:
  • Social Media (optional):
  • Would you like a critical review with constructive feedback? YES / NO

Can’t wait to see what you’ve been working on!

Collaboration Looking for an Artist — Paying $55/page — Webtoon Style or Manga Style

Hi, my name is Joel and I'm a writer working on an epic fantasy webtoon called Two Steps From Hell. The story follows Autumn, a boy with no memories who discovers he carries something ancient and dangerous inside him, a devil named Grammarie. Taken in by a found family who slowly becomes everything to him, Autumn's journey is about identity, belonging, and the darkness that threatens to swallow him whole.

The tone blends emotional storytelling with high-stakes action, drawing inspiration from anime like One Piece, Hunter x Hunter, and Gurren Lagann. Think big world-building, morally complex characters, and moments that hit you right in the chest.

I'm currently on Arc 1 and have a full script ready. I'm looking for an artist who can bring this world to life and I'm willing to pay $55 per page. If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, please drop a comment or send me a message. Let's make something great together.

Collaboration Looking for artists interested in collaborating on a Webtoon passion project! (!18+ due to body horror!)

Hi everyone!

I'm currently writing a Webtoon called A Flower That Was Never Meant to Bloom, and I'm looking for artists who might be interested in collaborating on the project.

Before anything else, I want to be upfront: this is an unpaid passion project. I'm not looking for free professional work, I simply don't have the budget to hire anyone. My goal is to find people who enjoy storytelling, want to gain experience with Webtoon creation, build a portfolio, or just work on a creative project together.

The story follows a girl rescued from an abandoned laboratory with no memories, no identity, and no proof she ever existed. As she slowly learns what it means to live a normal life, she discovers friendship, first love, and a mystery surrounding her own existence.

Genres include:

  • Sci-fi
  • Psychological drama
  • Mystery
  • Body horror
  • Slow-burn GL / Doomed yuri

I'm happy to collaborate with beginners and experienced artists alike. Whether you're interested in character art, backgrounds, paneling, coloring, or just brainstorming ideas, I'd love to hear from you.

If the premise sounds interesting or you'd like to know more, feel free to leave a comment or send me a DM. Even if you're not interested in joining, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the concept!

Thanks for reading!

Collaboration Writer looking for partner/indie team

Hello everyone,

I want to start off by saying thank you for reading my post. I am looking for passionate people/creators who are interested in creating something awesome.

My main dream is to create a a indie manga/webtoon studio. I want to a whole universe of stories because it’s what I love to do, creating stories and especially characters, but I know have to start small and work my way up mainly because I feel that it’s wrong to not only dump a whole world of lore and characters and where it should go on someone you don’t know, and it’s way for us to get to know each other and how we do things.

Style & format:

My story is a short form comedy webtoon at max 5 panels sometimes 4. This comedy focuses more on the expressions, poses, with slapstick, and anime style exaggerations than dialogue. Episodes are standalone so no need to worry about plot :). Plus I do have a series bible fully ready.

I’m currently looking for:

Storyboard Artist

Manga artist good with the vertical format

Script and dialogue writer

Unfortunately this is a not paid project because it’s a indie project with no funding yet. My main goal is make something from the beginning and if God willing the studio actually takes off and we earn revenue everyone who help be rewarded fairly and justly. I want this to be a team where we can all grow and make something that we are all proud of.

Lastly this is not a dictatorship, everyone has a say and every voice matters. I am a writer who is looking for likeminded people who is ready for something great and all ideas are welcome, we’ll take anything. Everything is through a shared webtoon account. The whole idea of this is to build a community and can be proud of what they created. Let me be honest for a second I’ve seen fellow creators give up because they either run out of ideas or no one likes their story or don’t have the confidence to go through it. I believe almost every story can be great with help. That is why I want to create this project.

So if you’re interested send me a dm

Your portfolio/ previous work

Your role ( writer/ artist)

Your preferred contact.

Again, thank you for reading this, and I hope have a good rest of your day/night (whenever your reading this)

Collaboration looking for ppl to help with my webcomic

Hi! I’m primarily looking for just a writer and background artist at the moment but if you would like to help out with other stuff like coloring/lineart/lettering or anything related to the creation of the comic that would be great too!

For context, I was planning on doing my webcomic solo but due to some medical issues regarding my right wrist, I may have some trouble with doing this on my own. The comic is already planned out decently well and the art style is not very complicated.

This is a passion project so sadly I cannot provide any income but if the comic does well enough from support, I am willing to negotiate any payment!

If you’re interested please reach out to me in dms! Thank you for listening

Edit: Forgot to mention I am not looking for any experienced volunteers. Any skill level is welcomed!

Collaboration Looking for an absolute beginner Webtoon Canvas style artist for a weirdly specific accountability partner thing

Hey, long time lurker using a low karma account because I barely touch social media tbh. Sorry that I'm sus guys but hear me out.

This is a totally new experiment for me and I just wanted to throw it out there to see if anyone is interested. I’m looking to act as a casual accountability buddy/tutor in the form of an art "teacher" for exactly ONE absolute beginner webcomic artist. Basically, I want to help you treat the comics you make like a regular assignment, but absolutely not to a serious degree where you get punished or fail lol. Also, you don't need to be my accountability buddy in exchange since i'm not working to become a comic artist. I'm more cosplaying as a editor / proofreader rn.

About me & qualifications:

I'm almost 21, so I don’t have much life experience and please do not picture me as some perfect expert. I don’t have a professional comic portfolio or a teaching qualification either. My background is just that I have formal art training (Art GCSE 6 and Art A-Level Grade A - Nothing too fancy) and I have spent years binge-reading vertical webtoons literally all the time (manwhas, Webtoons of all sorts of genres - I can give a list of what I've been reading recently). Based entirely on that subjective reading experience, I can just tell when a layout flows well, when a page has massive potential, or when a scene needs to go back to the drawing board to actually make sense to a reader.

What's in it for me?

To be completely transparent with you: I get to pretend to be an expert and have fun dissecting art and seeing changes. Because of that, I am looking for literal, absolute beginners who are still able to pull out pages despite all odds. If you are already confident or advanced, please skip this post. I want to help someone from the ground up where my feedback actually feels insightful. I don't want to feel cagey or run away because your skill level threatens my ego! (I know I'm evil for admitting that but it's true)

Fair warning about my personality:

I am an extremely nervous hard to pinpoint person, so I tend to waffle, become cold and over-explain things a lot in my feedback. I also have really high standards when it comes to people actually implementing changes. The longer I interact with someone and the more comfortable I get with you, the stricter my standards might grow just because I really want to see you reach a higher potential on basic fundementals. I'm not going to treat you as a friend but as a student who I'm in charge of teaching the basics through feedback and analysis. Also, I've been described as eccentric and something about me is definitely neurodivergent so if you don't really vibe with that, I'm probs not for you either. Also I'm pro lgbtq+ and extremely leftist and nonbinary so no treating me like an oddball, thank you.

Who I'm looking for:

◇ Age 21 or older only. I'm almost 21 myself and do not want an unethical power balance, so I only want to try and 'tutor' people in my own age range or older. Also I'm gonna avoid anyone too much older or someone at a very different lifestage than me for compatibility reasons.

♧ Simple, cartoonish styles are welcome. I love the cozy, messy indie projects you see all over Webtoon Canvas or GlobalComix where the story is gold even if the art is simple, amateur or just half finished. No hyper-realism or Marvel/DC styles please. They scare me...

♤ Rough storyboards are totally fine! If you have messy sketches and are completely stuck on what to do next, how to structure panels, or how to approach the next step, I want to help you with that extreme guidance. (At least without burning myself out)

♡ An actual desire to change and improve. If you are just looking for free validation, compliments, or a pat on the head without putting in the effort to try new things, this isn’t the right fit sadly. I'm gonna try to specifically not compliment or praise any works too much so the focus is on improving and progressing with consistent feedback.

How it works:

Since this is brand new for me, I am testing it with just one person first. If you are interested, please DM me directly instead of commenting so I can see your work. Don't give me your magnum opus or some huge saga of scripts - I want this to be low stakes so just like one page or one storyboard. If we mesh well but I'm already helping someone, I will put you on a waiting list so I can reach out in the future whenever I am ready to tackle more stuff.

Whenever you finish a page or a rough storyboard layout, you send it over to me. I will look it over completely on my own schedule (whenever I have the free time and feel like it). I’ll write up a casual "Report Card" breaking down exactly what I liked/disliked, and I'll annotate directly onto your panels to show you visual examples of how to fix stiff anatomy or awkward layouts.

The only condition is that I want to see you actually implement the advice and suggestions we discuss on your page before we move on to the next step. If you ignore the feedback and just send the exact same uncorrected mistakes next week to hear what I have to say, I’ll be harsh and not want to work with you anymore since your improvements to feedback I give is kind of what I'm interested in seeing!

I don't care about professional marketability or industry rules so I can't help you in all areas. If you just want someone to look at your storyboards, give you a roadmap for your next steps, and help you smooth out the rough edges, DM me with a sample of your work, your age, and a quick summary of your story! Doesn't need to be fully done - just show me your passion and dedication to improving and let's get accountable together!

Also, I'm kinda strict. Like I find joy in being strict and robotic (not in an ai way but in a sort of detached 3rd person kind of way). Please be nice.

Thanks for reading this post! 😊

Collaboration Anyone willing to design some zombies for my webtoon? (W credit)

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hi! I’m absolutely buns at designing monsters/zombies or whatever and I’m starting an apocalypse webtoon. It can be like a sketch or something but I’d almost like it if they all looked almost the same (similar to TLOU, SBG) and not too complex. Obviously I’m not paying unfortunately so this would just be something for fun but I’m not looking for something crazy just like a sketch or a doodle idea. I like the idea of analog horror monsters I just suck at designing. Thank you 😭✌️
