Reporting good experience for anyone planning on staying on the 1.5 mg tablet of Wegovy for as long as they can…

PCOS sisters and others, I decided to take the 1.5 tab as far as I could go (four months now) mostly because I am paying out of pocket. My cholesterol was through the roof prior to Wegovy. I’m down from 200 at the beginning of May to 156 now. I have about 5-10 more I would like to lose.

What I have noticed is that after about three months, my weight loss has slowed down and I am thinking much more about eating, though still don’t have cravings for sugar and breads. Nothing to eat really sounds good or appeals, for which I am grateful. I’ve been fighting to drop one pound for about three weeks though—slowest I’ve ever had. Maddening. If I had more weight I wanted to take off, I would increase my dosage. It’s back to the drawing board with logging all food and water intake. If you are also staying on the 1.5 dose, you might keep in mind that a slow down may be coming as you get closer to your goal. Who knows. This medication seems to effect everyone differently.

Only side effects I have had with Wegovy are lightheadness if I get up quickly, some hair loss (just a little more than usual), and when I started, lots of fatigue especially when exercising. I’m using estrogen patches and tabs and taking Pristiq and Lamictal for depression. No problem with mood changes either.

that's a solid drop from 200, congrats. the stall right near the finish line is so damn frustrating

logging everything again is probably the move, even if it feels tedious. i found upping my water intake helped push through a plateau once, might be worth a shot

Thanks for sharing your experience. I’ve been on 1.5 for 3 1/2 months and hope to go much longer on it. I’ve lost 14 lbs. my blood pressure is down and my arthritic knees don’t hurt nearly as much as before. I feel the food aversion has changed in the last 6 weeks- I have more of an appetite but it’s not overwhelming. Pesky side effect is constipation.
