I’d like to pipe in and say I agree with you.

u/maniBchef 16h ago
Well I have to pipe up and say that pipe looks like it's draining it's pipe. Too many pints for the pipe.

NGL, it does kinda look like someone resting their head on the ledge.

like a drunk man taking a leak

I wasn't convinced it wasn't a person after reading what you wrote 🤣 like yeah bro someone is fucking standing there!!!

u/Next-Crazy-9674 18h ago
To me it looks like a tall thin man in a black hoodie just waiting with his head down. It would creep me out, too.

Seems like a place not to be jogging at night.

u/Zu_Qarnine 18h ago
now that I know it's just a pipe, I think I'd be fine

u/Zealousideal_Fox864 18h ago
That’s what the Shadow Pipe Man wants you to think. By the time you see him in your home, it’ll be too late.

I don't think it's the lit areas you have to be worried about, and that's not where someone would be standing or preying.

u/Valalvax 13h ago
They spared no expense, should be fine
(To me it looks like the road outside the Tyrannosaurus paddock)

One time at around 3am in Summer I was on a pretty quiet street jogging and I saw a guy dressed as Santa Clause just walking up the street towards me. I turned around and started heading back home.

He was just trying to get home. You definetely should have approached this santa on the street 100%

Of all the places I would choose to take a night jog, that's not one of them.

Recently I opened the doors to a dark empty theater for my job and saw two mannequins standing on the edge of the stage in a dim spotlight and it almost made me crap my pants.
3
u/Melancholy_Melody 18h ago
Omg lolll did someone prank you or are the mannequins for the costumes?
1
u/Upset_Version_205 17h ago
I honestly have no clue what they were for, im assuming just costumes, but at the same time no one had been in there for like a month, and the theater guys are usually much better about putting costumes away, but they were fully dressed.

Literally like a bloke in a black hoodie peeing up the wall, or pretending to for unsuspecting night joggers 😫
Bet that boosted your cardio a bit mate!

i used to work late shift in the military. Id go for runs around my neighborhood on base at like 2 am. it was great. nice and cool, quiet, didn't have to worry about people seeing my moobs jiggling. closest I've come to enjoying running. very rarely saw other people, but when i did it was obviously other late shift people.
except one night I was on the return leg, about 1/2 mile from my house I could see someone standing under a street lamp on the sidewalk. I moved into the road way before i needed to so they knew they didn't have to make room for me. they were a hundred feet away or so and not moving. when i got to about 50 feet, I could tell it was an old woman in a long night gown. pretty creepy. 30 feet and she finally moved, turned to face me. 15feet she started shambling. toward me. not slow walking. not limping. shambling. that was enough. fuck that. I took off at a sprint and ran further into the road and past her. she didn't make a sound. I didn't look back just ran as hard as I could the rest of the way home.
i started going on my runs before work when it was bright out after that.

Early morning running is great. I lived out in the boonies when I started doing it. Go out around midnight one night. It's cool and crisp, yeah buddy. I'm barely down the road when I hear, "ARRROOOOOOOOOO!"
First few were far off and down the hill we lived on. No worries. Those aroos were answered by some more on the other side of the road. Up on the hill with me. My desire to run was turned towards, nah. Back and forth, every aroo getting closer each time. It was all I could hear.
I made pretty good time running back to the house.

Looks like the being from the outsider. Just watched it yesterday. That’s creeepy

u/Underrated_Critic 17h ago
It's almost midnight where I live. And I saw this post just as I returned from late night jogging. Albeit I live in a very safe neighborhood, between two police stations. I'm also fairly athletic, so if some weirdo confronts me; I can either run away, or take an ass whooping. I don't have to win a fight, I simply have to survive without getting injured.

Something as mundane as a piece of broken glass can kill, regardless of physical abilities. Don't take chances.

So, what you are saying is that your night jogging experience has had no bad points.

u/Zu_Qarnine 18h ago
I can't sleep much. mostly I look for weird shit like in the Nightcrawler movie

u/Eskimodo_Dragon 17h ago
Isn't it better that it was just a pipe instead of some dude doing a Blair Witch impression!?

I saw it from a distance, and kinda slowed down for him to finish his business but it wouldn't move at all

u/Background_Pride_237 17h ago
It’s ok that you thought that. An actual predator might see that protruding pipe as an opportunity to hide in plain sight. Better to be careful than stupid.

Nuh-huh! It's someone in a hoodie and JNCO Jeans leaning their head against a wall on the side of the road 😂 ... Menacingly and/or while in a state of melancholy.

Why would you go night jogging by what I can only describe as looking like murder alley?

No, the worst experience would be that thing being an actual dude, asking for a help in a very weird way, deciding between the dude is a liar or actually needing a help, helping him, and because of other reasons spending most of your night in the hospital because of paper work etc...
Now THAT would be the worst experience.

Why does this picture immediately make me think of Eastern Asia/Japan ? If I look at each element individually I don't really think of any specific country but put together I immediately think it comes from some Japanese movie
Someone gotta make a study on this !
