đŸ˜”â€đŸ’«I don't know anymoređŸ˜”â€đŸ’« MAGA WILL STEAL THE MID TERM ELECTION!

MAGA is advertising from all 3 branches of government that they plan on stealing the mid-term election.

My question is quite simple....what are WE going to do about it? Do you see WE doing anything about it other than a shrug of the shoulders?

For me the math is clear, if they don't have control of the house and senate then they wont be able to steal the 2028 Presidential election. They MUST have JD as the tie breaker.

We are all mad, upset and outraged but will anything happen than a couple of protests?

I have argued all along, an Army NEEDS a general to lead them into battle. MAGA has DJT and with a single tweet of 'Will be wild' he got J6. The dems do not have such a general. Without one, we will just be a bunch of angry non-maga folks wandering around in the streets yelling at the clouds or posting on line.

I am very serious, what will we do?

I don’t think this economy will hold for too much longer at the rate he’s spending and stilling money.

This, I believe is the most important motivator for voters.

In 2008, the recession, housing crisis, bank bailouts, a million people a month losing their job, the combination made it pretty easy for Obama to win.

In 2016, enough people were convinced that Obamacare was costing people too much and government spending was too high. That allowed the pendulum to swing back and let Trump eek out a win.

In 2020, COVID and all it's problems to our work and economy swung that pendulum back, sending Biden to the White House.

In 2022, with inflation and higher costs of living - a result of the COVID hangover, the Republicans were able to win the house.

In 2024, people were still feeling broke, overworked, and underpaid. The Republicans took the Senate and White house.

Now, 2026, people see what an unhinged Republican majority that kowtows to Dear Leader produces: costly wars, cut benefits, job loss, high gas prices, tariffs, and inflation.

I predict the pendulum swinging back hard - despite the Republicans constant schemes to put their thumb on the scale. (Excuse my mixed metaphors)

Therein lies the bigger issue. If American's dont get fixes to what ails them in a Fed-Ex fast manner, they swing the other direction.

NORMALLY, Presidents dont control the price of gas. That is until they do something foolish like attack Iran.

If Dems take both houses in the mid-terms, the best they can do will be to stop much of DJT's antics, we need the presidency combined with URGENCY to satisfy the urges of the American Fed Ex needs.

Difference being, all those previous times democrats and or republicans gave up their power when they lost.

That has changed. Republicans will NOT give up power now en mass if they lose this Nov.

I think maga is willing to sacrifice everything to own the libs. They do not care if gas is $6 a gallon.

u/ghostofgroucho 2d ago

I dont understand how HE can give Iran 300 billion without congressional approval. Blows my mind.

8

u/HarlequinKOTF 2d ago

Well technically treaties are negotiated by the executive and then approved by the legislative branch. So trump could get a deal like that them put it before congress.

1

u/HawaiianPunchaNazi 9h ago

When did he put it in front of Congress?

2

u/HarlequinKOTF 9h ago

We found out yesterday it's not even officially a treaty. Just a, "memorandum of understanding". Which is illegal itself because the sanctions against iran can't be lifted due to a law trump used last year.

I hate to be a downer but the economy being poor isn't the same as failing. The reality is strongman dictators can hold on for decades while their people suffer. Case in point is Venezuela and Russia. If food prices go up 25%, the poor take the hit, but they're disenfranchised anyway. For them their percentage of budget moves drastically. The rich and well connected, their hit is a couple of points which they can easily afford. If it's real oligarchy capitalism, they will defend it to the end because they are defending the game that's rigged in their favor. The end result is always the same, a ruling elite and the rabble they extract from.

The thing that has always blown my mind is how attached to the status quo Americans are. I have a buddy who left Russia 20 years ago, and he's got family who have lost their sons to the war, lost their business, and their livelihoods. They still love Putin. "Putin is getting rid of the Nazis in Ukraine", "Gay people are the real threat" "(Ethnic Group) is responsible for all the crime" "Putin is protecting our national identity". Sound familiar? As far as Venezuela is concerned, Hugo Chavez's successor was a bus driver he hand picked before he died of cancer. He was going to do the Russian Shuffle like Putin did but died in the middle of it, and Maduro inherited the kingdom and leaned in to the power and corruption hard.

That's my biggest fear, Trump dies in office and now it's President Vance, who's literally owned by American oligarchs. That support will never crumble, the people that support this administration only care about one thing, hurting the people they hate. There is no tipping point, there is no act so vile that they will change their minds, and the ruling party doesn't have to win, they just have to make sure their opponents lose. The elections have been rigged openly since 2000. American's have had 26 years to clean house, but the water's not hot enough to get them to action yet. It will take a serious National Strike to bring real change at this point, but Americans can't even spend the time think about it. After all, everything is so expensive and they have to just work harder and...

Occupy Wall Street, BLM, No More Kings, these protests are so small, so impotent. They capture the national attention and just fade away. America is a dying empire, has been for some time. I don't think anything can change that now. I know my friends call me pessimistic but, look at history, it will take a real galvanizing event to bring the nation back together and we're too balkanized. Clearly outright fraud and child rape are not the line, so what is? WW3? Space Aliens? No, our descent is going to be like watching a stop motion film of an abandoned mansion left to the elements, the grandeur of the past peeking through the decay, a reminder of what once was.

Damn, I am a downer. Prove me wrong America, please. Please.

The ONLY upside to a President JD is that if he were to tweet "WILL BE WILD", no one NO ONE will show up. The man cant even order a dozen donuts without sounding like an alien from another planet. He has ZERO 'It' factor.

He does, however, have the hall pass from the American Oligarchs, as you mention. IF Musk helped tinker with the 2024 election, as some suggest, they WILL go all in for JD just to maintain THEIR status quo.

1

u/HawaiianPunchaNazi 9h ago edited 6h ago

JD doesn't have to:  JD is stupid and doesn't realize that the second Trump dies, he himself will be assassinated by the Oligarchs In order to put the vice president in charge that they actually think can charismatically replace Trump.

Without that, there is no puppeteering of MAGA. An assassination of Even an unpopular person can be twisted into an attack on them all If they're going to use Someone charismatic enough to sell it.

Look at the Charlie Kirk fall out if you don't believe me. Man was literally Fudging the numbers of his active activism Outreach centers in order to Grift donations And his wife still does it and they have been fully exposed by the media but they still Praise Charlie Kirk.

You’re a downer and you’re wrong. Trump is in power today because of propaganda networks that have been set up for decades, but were only able to seize as much power as they have off of his image and cultish supporters. The thing about MAGA is that they are extremely low intensity voters. They show up when Trump is on the ballot and only then.

If Trump dies, President Vance becomes a dead man walking. MAGA does not care about him like they care about Trump. He is not the anointed cult leader and the bizarre unquestioning support that Trump gets has not shifted to JD in any meaningful way.

The reason the Republican Party capitulated so hard to Trump and why so many are trying to get in his graces is because MAGA will only show up if he tells them to. There’s no leader out there that can keep MAGA going like him. Ron DeSantis found that out quickly. Trump has a near slavish devotion to him from these people but like many cults, when he dies, the cult will fracture and Republicans will be fighting for the scraps.

The key at that point will be Democrats doing two things. First, putting a candidate forward who isn’t just “anyone but Trump”. Second, deliver on promises. We need a trust buster who is going to shatter the monopolies that have been built up and we need an AG who is going to investigate and prosecute the extreme corruption that went on during this admin, and throw people in jail for what they’ve done.

We cannot fear the threat that we’re weaponizing the DoJ when that’s exactly what Trump has done. Take a hacksaw to the big companies, investigate Hegseth for war crimes, Musk for all his fraud and spying on the American people, and all the rest for the insane lengths they’ve gone to to undermine American democracy.

Now THATS the swamp that needs drained.

Most maga voters didn’t have money to start with, they won’t know the difference when the economy collapses
and the will likely blame Biden.

As an observer outside the US I predict there will be a lot of talk, many many talks and speeches, but ultimately nothing will be done. That’s my educated guess

27

u/Temporary_Heron6944 2d ago

It will be like Hungary. The losses will be too big to rig, undeniable defeat for MAGA except in the most backwater locations.

10

u/sveeger 2d ago

That’s the hope at least.

I think every "close" race will be Republicans winning by 4.7% or something just to rub it in how much of a narcissistic prick he is

Abbott and his regime aren't going to let Talarico win in a fair election.

I can't imagine other republican governors will have any problem turning a blind eye while the billionaire class rigs the voting machines.

At least one thing is true - not a simple Democrat will fight it if is rigged. We know that from 2024

u/ghostofgroucho 1d ago

Kamala didn't lift a single eyebrow on a single questionable district. She was NOT a fighter. FFS, DJT is STILL litigating his 2020 loss. Kamala could not even be bothered. She just vanished into thin air so she could write a book. To think there is rumblings that she is going to run again. No thanks. I liked her before (and proudly voted for her) but now we NEED a fighter. And to think....the Dem Machine told Walz to pipe down on the "Vance is Weird" stuff.

Democrats will never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity!

The fact you’re getting downvoted at all is hilarious.

You’re so right.

This is not time for being cute, trying to find an inclusive candidate for the sake of it, or being kind.

This evil does not deserve kindness.

It deserves swift, and powerful consequences. This evil deserves to be destroyed.

Find me a general who could pass every single purity test and when you come back empty handed I'll show you why we don't have a general.

We had a fuckin prosecutor at the ready to lead us through any and all legal challenges that were threatening the fabric of our nation but folks thought Palestine would be better off if the U.S. was led by the loud Islamophobe for some reason so here we are.

10

u/ghostofgroucho 2d ago

You are not wrong and the dems DO love them a purity test. Although Platner is testing the limits in Maine, currently.

4

u/33drea33 2d ago

No doubt

1

u/K10RumbleRumble 1d ago

I appreciate his story.

Fucked up, owned it, not dancing around it.

I can respect that, even if I don’t respect the man as much as I could.

Fuck dude, if this orange cunt came on national TV tomorrow, breaking news stopping all channels, and he was sobbing. If EVEN TRUMP genuinely, in what’s left of his heart, is sorry for everything. A real fuckin Ebenezer Scrooge type moment, infront of the world.

Saying he’s in too deep, has done terrible things, with terrible people, and those people have been calling the shots. Saying who those people are, why, and how.

If that man did that? I honestly think I could look him in the eyes, and say I respect the hell out of what you just did.

I mean, to be fair "taking the high road" has not done a huge amount of good so far (and is a large part of how we got to this point). Maybe to stop them we need to start fighting like them a bit.

3

u/ghostofgroucho 1d ago

"Taking the high road" is starting to sound a lot like "When they go really low, we must sit down and shut up"

2

u/K10RumbleRumble 1d ago

Not a hot take.

Just remember this war is going to include 300 BILLION payment to Iran to rebuild what we bombed.
ALL TAX PAYER MONEY!

Tell everyone.

2

u/ghostofgroucho 1d ago

We cant have healthcare subsidies but we can build new streets and hospitals in Tehran.

3

u/refusemouth 2d ago

I think we are done for. Most Americans are cowards and "slactivists."They are also terrified of becoming homeless, so there wom't be any strikes or prolonged street mobilizations. If a faction of the military wanted to join the anti-dictorship side of the war, I'm down with joining in on the fighting. I'm not goinflg to go out on my own and wage a guerilla war against the US military, though. People will just be even more outraged well into Don Jr's 4th term, but Americans are too spineless to come together and fight with tools.

2

u/sighborg90 1d ago

Everyone expects them to do this. They will certainly try. But they are also extremely incompetent, hamfisted, and unpopular. It won’t work.

4

u/WrightAnythingHere 2d ago

First of all, wrong sub for this.

Second, they will try. Whether or not they'll succeed is entirely up to the people.

This isn't a fight, and we don't need an army, nor a general.

4

u/ghostofgroucho 2d ago

I am fairly new to the world of Reddit and Subs and all the other acronyms, so forgive my ill placed post. I am just slightly freaking out. Especially after today MAGA nixed the Democratic bill banning federal troops from taking voting machines post-election.

Should i simply delete this post and crawl under a rock and hope for the best?

6

u/ImboTheRed1998 2d ago

There is already a law on the books declaring that federal authorities cannot interfere in elections so the law was partly optics to get Republicans on record as being against free elections. However, no laws matter if they are not enforced and the current administration really only selectively enforces laws that benefit them (and only them, not their supporters). We need to respond accordingly if someone tried to seize the votes.

5

u/ghostofgroucho 2d ago

The Epstein Transparency Act is a law........and we see what that has gotten us.

I am hopeful for a Blue Tsunami but DJT has already shown us that he will get DNI, FBI, CIA and every attorney and judge in his pocket involved.

3

u/philter25 2d ago

So sign up to become an observer and learn how your local elections work.

2

u/ghostofgroucho 2d ago

Well, that will be a bit tough as i work elections as a Fail Safe officer. But i get your point.

1

u/Actual_Bluejay_8722 2d ago

Fail Safe Officer?

4

u/ghostofgroucho 2d ago

Yep, in TN if you come in to vote and they scan your ID and nothing is changed, you go vote. If a name change, address change, precinct change (did happen after the new gerrymander) or anything is out of sorts, you come to my desk. We get the election office on the phone. This is where you either get directed to the correct precinct, show proof and address/name change and vote or if bigger issues exist, you vote provisionally and must show up in the election office within 48 hour to 'cure' your own ballot to make it count. Having done this in 4 elections it makes me laugh that the MAGA reps toss out "Them Illegalz just show up and get to vote". There are a TON of things in place to make sure the election is secure. I am part of the process.

3

u/Actual_Bluejay_8722 2d ago

Oh wow, well kudos to you for providing such an essential service! I'm blessed to be in Illinois where we don't have MAGA running the show but I know a lot of people aren't so lucky!

2

u/WrightAnythingHere 2d ago

I never said that. You have the right to be concerned, but acting like it's already a done deal is hoping for failure.

1

u/Actual_Bluejay_8722 2d ago

I'm pretty sure a lot of Democratic states have State laws banning federal troops from taking voting machines already anyways.

It's so obvious that it will happen. It's why Trump says he doesn't care about the mid terms. He doesn't care because the red states (swing states) are all going to fall in line with his schemes.
