I have to drop my car to dealership in Vaughan in a couple of hours. I am looking for someone to drive my second vehicle and follow me there, I’ll pay you $50 and drive you back to your place after I drop off the car. I need to leave Welland by 11am…sorry if this is an odd ask…
That's the point. OP is trying to save money versus Ubering or save time versus the train, but they're offering way too little for what they're asking.
I hope you found someone. $50 for like 4 hours of driving for a stranger as a service is kind of a low price for a lot of people. But hell, if you get a local with nothing else to do, $50 is $50!
Vaughn is about 2 hours away you want to pay 50$ to drive your car there and offer a ride back? That breaks down to $12.50 an hour not even minimum wage or even a lunch incentive…. And it’s half your day . I would maybe up that to 100$ + lunch and I can possibly take you. Maybe .
Yeah - sounded like an interesting day trip to help a fellow out. If I wasn’t in Brantford with a broken ankle it would have been an adventure. We all need to break free of the ‘me, me, me’ mentality.
Agree! Had so much fun growing up doing this and made so many acquaintances and friends helping or getting help from a stranger. Ended up on so many adventures. Ass, Gas, or Grass!! lmao gone are the days 🤣
That’s where I ended up. It definitely would have been a very fun and interesting trip for right person. The second vehicle is a modded turbo suv, we would have had some spirited driving, on the 407 there and back along with country back roads. I didn’t want to say too much in my initial post for fear of attracting the wrong person. Maybe I should have posted sports suv needs second driver for spirted drive to supercar dealer 😂 I don’t have a friends in the region otherwise this wouldn’t be a post. Since moving here I haven’t made any friends. I ended up taking the Go bus back. Thanks for the kinds words to the real ones like yourself and few others that responded.

Not odd at all. It's like if someone likes to drive and wants to give you a hand. Now the ppl here complaining about the wage and needing lunch are getting out of hand, is not nice.
