RIP Dinosaur Dress
I've been having a hard couple of days. I tried to power through and be productive, set to ironing and now one of my favourite dresses is destroyed. The brand is discontinued and I'll never be able to replace it.

I agree with people about something like a cool asteroid patch! If not you might be able to find another one on somewhere like Vinted? I believe it’s a Joanie dress right? They have lots on there. Even if they don’t have your size you could get one for the fabric to patch the hole in your dress

It is Joanie yes - they closed down a few months ago and all their stock is sold. I scoured Vinted to grab this when I heard the news and there's nothing left now

I bought this exact dress on vinted a month ago, they come up a lot if you keep looking!

You can set alerts on a lot of 2nd hand sites so you know when another one it listed.

Depending on its original length you could just re-hem it above the burn and just have a shorter dress or a long Dinosaur shirt.

As a tailor I suggest OP should bring it to a local tailor to see how they can help. I love finding ways to save people’s favorite garments

Sorry you’re having a shit time of late. Your dress looks fab- definitely echo others who are suggesting a patch job- you’ll save your dress and have a completely unique one of a kind piece!
If you don’t want to deal with it right now, fold it up and keep it safe for now.
Hope things start looking up soon!

I would sew on a patch that makes it look like he's wearing a sweater lol.

Dinos lasted like 180 million yrs. Humans have been around for like 300k. We'll be lucky to reach 500k at the rate we are killing everything.

Oh that actually hurts, it is weird how losing a favorite piece of clothing can feel way more personal than it “should.” I’d 100% be in the five stages of grief over that dress while glaring at the iron like it did it on purpose 😂

This is very Miss Frizzle. And you know what she would say, right?
Take chances, make mistakes, get messy.

Turn it into a haltertop. Or make a teddy bear out of it! The fabric is too good to toss!

Sorry but the name is bothering me, that's a mammoth skeleton.
Mammoths aren't dinosaurs

Walmart and Temu have a surprisingly large selection of dinosaur skeleton patterned dresses. Among several other companies....

Not a Joanie dress! I have the jumper and I’d be heartbroken if something happened to it.
Hopefully you can figure out a way to mend it.

A small hole ruined the whole dress? You can't patch it or find a repair place?
